It seems to try to counter sunken lurker turtling with carriers In this case Pluto was turtling against 2 hatch hydra and then when it got contained by the proxy hatch it decided carriers were a good option and Hero had no econ so it actually worked

Something like 2 hatch muta or 2 hatch hydra you're supposed to scout it to defend, I'm not sure human pros hold blind 2 hatch muta or 2 hatch hydra, so Pluto just needs to absorb those builds into its training to react
Funnily carriers are much harder to deal with pre-hive as plague and dark swarm are both so strong against them
300 hp with 4 armour is pretty high and it gets nullified by plague and suddenly 2 scourge can kill a carrier or a couple of hydra shots which is bananas really
So this carrier thing has been happening to me since I first got it running locally. Since, nobody else ever mentioned it, I thought it was an adapted bullying technique pluto was using on just me.
If I kill it's natural. It defends at ramp, goes carriers, and once it has 5-6, it can kill 35~ hydra without losing one.

On the ladder yesterday I ran into a guy who went fe -> carriers and I was more worried about 2 base carriers then I've ever been. I basically went 4 base scourge thinking I was facing Pluto lol.

No I can tell him you are right. For the moment it's mostly a test. Most of the bots are open source except Pluto but the weights are available on Github.
There's a few ex-progamers that have played hundreds of games vs Pluto 2.0 the last few days. It's very clear that 2.0 is a completely different level.
Pluto 2.0 is absolutely destroying them. Nal_ra lost 40+ PvT games in a row before finally winning one. July went 0-22 ZvP in his 1st day attempting 2.0. GoRush gave up playing it straight up and has been trying to find cheese builds to beat each matchup. Larva has been doing the best at around a 20% win rate last I checked.
