Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:
- NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever.
Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment. |

I wish he would play a straight up game vs Naniwa but unfortunately he choosed the unhonorable way. what should leenock do if nani go for fast nexus every single time??? if he wanna play macro game, he will be far behind than protoss. but if he go hatch first, like nestea did, there is a risk to be canonrushed. pretty suck to be a zerg i guess. when leenock made an early agression ppl call it all in or cheese but when naniwa rushed zealots ppl said that is a good timing by naniwa. HAHAHAHAAHA THE BETTER PLAYER WON
leencock?

I cringed a little whenever I watched Naniwa come out on stage pre game or post game because the crowd would boo him for no reason. On top of that , so many people B lined for the doors as soon as leenock won. what the hell?
Not uncommon for awards ceremony haha.

yea crazy, leenock did what any of us could have done.... enter the open bracket and win the whole thing

Naniwa in the last game was attempting to adjust to the mindgames, assuming that Leenock would in fact mindgame and open hatch first (as somebody suggested he might do to super mindgame Naniwa) except Leenock did not. He didn't think that far ahead, it was in fact more of a case of "When in doubt, cheese, always get another shot anyway if it fails". Played to win, won, but was not the better player imo. Actually Leenock was going for a simple speedling open in that last game, and probably in other games too (his drones were removed from gas before scouting the nexus first). It's not a cheese if it has a 90% success rate vs a certain build. 6 pooling vs instant triple expanding isn't cheese, it's a hard counter. Leenock's build was similar in the sense that he knew he would always come out at least even and probably ahead if he executed correctly.
100% agree. At least in some games from my view, Leenock would speedling expand, completely uncommitted to heavy roach pressure. Upon scouting, he would change plans and delay his expansion, throwing down the roach warren earlier instead for the heavy pressure. He knew it would work based on his scouting and preparation -- he probably thought okay, Naniwa is doing this PvZ 2 base opening exclusively, so I am going to come up with a plan to crush it in case I see him doing this opening
Naniwa, unable to adapt, let this happen over and over

Because you people find normal to not being able to fast expanding against zerg ? If you don't FFE you're basicly behind. Naniwa deserved this win so hard omg, MVP should have crushed Leenock in loser's bracket. Was pissed about "lol i got 5 roaches and 5 mutas during whole game and still won".
Rly boring final, it was like Puma/MC during IEM. MC > Puma so Puma cheesed 2 times on 3 games to get the money. Naniwa > Leenock, so Leenock cheesed to get the money. So sad...
Did you watch MVP vs Leenock?
Those were some sick macro games man.

Just looking at this shit makes me an instant fanboy. Did Leenock go through Nestea? Did Leenock go through MVP (even though it was MLG Global Invitational)? And Naniwa went through Huk, and DRG as well, both beating them same as Leenock did. Are you seriously trying to discredit Naniwa from almost winning? Naniwa played very well too, and I think he would've deserved to win MLG if he beat Leenock. Leenock indeed deserves the win though, but don't discredit another good player like a fangirl. He did go through MVP.... also through MMA

You aren't even understanding him... He Is saying that leenock deserves it and the people saying nani deserves it more are completely discreditting him. Judging on your post count you are either trolling or afraid to post on your real account because you yourself look like a fanboy

Taking a fast third also works very well against FFE- we've seen plenty of zergs win like that. FFE in PvZ is as standard as hatch first in ZvT. I don't know why people are suddenly up in arms and complaining that it's insanely greedy. Boxer beats yellOw with 3 bunker rushes, fans react with max applause and talk about it for years to come. Leenock does ZvP equivalent, gets labelled a cheeser.
lol do you have any idea how much shit Boxer got for that 3x bunker rush? It caused a huge storm of imbalance discussions and complaints that Boxer shouldn't have used it in such a highly anticipated series.

Nani said himself when I get to play my game I win and leenock didn't let him by going early aggression to throw off nani's build annoying to see that garbage roach ling every game but u play to win

IIRC people actually were questioning the balance of TvZ or something after that happened

I just realized that theres only one terran in the top 8, which is mvp. So much for the imba terran this tournament.

Leenock outplayed NaNiWa in the finals, that's a given, but the play was not inspiring or exciting for anyone who isn't a Leenock fan. NaNiWa accomplished something no foreigner has ever done, or was expected to do this weekend, and got nothing but vilified for it. Good luck in the Blizzard Cup to both players, best of luck to NaNiWa in Code S next season. aLive better crush Leenock this season. + Show Spoiler + Naniwa gained a ton of fans. What is this melodramatic bullshit all about? I agree with you mostly, but stop with the world against Naniwa rubbish. You didn't watch the whole weekend, or see the LR Thread and Twitter and Reddit yesterday then. The community absolutely thrashed NaNiWa, between discrediting his Global Invitational wins, to smashing him for his personality on stage.

Never return to Rhode Island?
MLG needs more Pacific locations.
