Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:
- NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever.
Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment. |

You think that he wouldve caught onto to the roach rushing... in response to his fast expand. Leenock was impressive though, his run as a whole

I was liking Leenock, before he started to mutate to the zerg equivalent of Bitbybit, in this last round. Now I just hope that he gets cheesed out of the GSL, back to code B.
Yeah Leenock should of just let Naniwa FFE like he does EVERY GAME, get a two base death ball and roll him. Ask Neasta and MVP how that worked out. Oh, and the blind FFE Naniwa did last game was as pretty dumb.

well at least Naniwa gets code S spot and he really deserves it for how he played this weekend. People booing him are way too harsh, but on the other hand he doesn't have a very likeable personality

i picked alive to beat leenock on liquidbet before this happened. f#!*k.
leenock to win code s.
|
Surprised that Naniwa didn't go back to the good old 4 gate in at least one of those games.

what should leenock do if nani go for fast nexus every single time??? if he wanna play macro game, he will be far behind than protoss. but if he go hatch first, like nestea did, there is a risk to be canonrushed. pretty suck to be a zerg i guess. when leenock made an early agression ppl call it all in or cheese but when naniwa rushed zealots ppl said that is a good timing by naniwa. HAHAHAHAAHA THE BETTER PLAYER WON

Gratz Leenock to the 50k and the championship! Gratz Naniwa to the less then 50k and the Code S spot!
Good tournament! GG's were had.

I bet you're regretting that bet after this weekend XD
Then again, Leenock will have to travel back to Korea so jetlag may affect him.

Just looking at this shit makes me an instant fanboy. Did Leenock go through Nestea? Did Leenock go through MVP (even though it was MLG Global Invitational)? And Naniwa went through Huk, and DRG as well, both beating them same as Leenock did. Are you seriously trying to discredit Naniwa from almost winning? Naniwa played very well too, and I think he would've deserved to win MLG if he beat Leenock. Leenock indeed deserves the win though, but don't discredit another good player like a fangirl.
He did indeed go through MVP, and beat arguably the best TvZ player in the world 2-0. MVP isn't even in my top 10 in the world for TvP. Sorry.
Beating NesTea twice is impressive though, but don't even begin to compare what Leenock achieved to Naniwa. Leenock wins by a landslide.

Wooohoo. Just saw the results. So glad for Leenock. All is right with the universe again.

leenock cheesed an eco cheeser? whats the big deal.

2-0'd him. Check the list.

Dude first read the post completely before commenting. Leenock actually beat MVP, with a stroke of luck in the first game I admit, but he did beat him.

makes Naniwas open bracket run look like childplay

Crowd was horrible imo
I cringed a little whenever I watched Naniwa come out on stage pre game or post game because the crowd would boo him for no reason. On top of that , so many people B lined for the doors as soon as leenock won. what the hell?

Ahh! What a truly deserving champion. So glad to see that he won vs NaniWa... punishing the only opening that naniwa used for pvz in this tournament. Well deserved!

What else do you do against protoss Forge FE? Just let him have it? You have to be like that in the early game to punish it severely. Taking a fast third also works very well against FFE- we've seen plenty of zergs win like that. FFE in PvZ is as standard as hatch first in ZvT. I don't know why people are suddenly up in arms and complaining that it's insanely greedy. Boxer beats yellOw with 3 bunker rushes, fans react with max applause and talk about it for years to come. Leenock does ZvP equivalent, gets labelled a cheeser. You change history, boxers cheese was not all that loved at the time. It was the same whining.
Agreed, I can do the same thing the other way round;
Leenock cheeses repeatedly in the finals of a £50 000 tournament, lauded by forum posters.
Puma cheeses repeatedly in the finals of IEM, hated on by forum posters.
Both are true, but miss a crucial part of the sentence.
SOME forum posters. It's not hypocrisy because it's not the same people.
