Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

if other loses are to be considered nani gets really upset after a loss, eg. TSL3.

I feel really bad for Nani, with TSL3, Homestory 3 and now this, he just can't seem to catch a break

On the bright side, how many more would it take him to join SC2's kong line?

Doesn't leenock only take home 35k due to the US taxes of 30% or something like that ?

Honestly, how can you even say Naniwa deserved to win that? Just looking at this shit makes me an instant fanboy.

Did Leenock go through Nestea? Did Leenock go through MVP (even though it was MLG Global Invitational)? And Naniwa went through Huk, and DRG as well, both beating them same as Leenock did.

Are you seriously trying to discredit Naniwa from almost winning? Naniwa played very well too, and I think he would've deserved to win MLG if he beat Leenock. Leenock indeed deserves the win though, but don't discredit another good player like a fangirl.

leenock deserved it mores, and people are glad that he won. he did what naniwa did in the first mlg of 2011. now that naniwa has gotten fat, he started slumping

Not so good finals, Leencock cheesing in all games. I wish he would play a straight up game vs Naniwa but unfortunately he choosed the unhonorable way.

As a SC2 fan, this makes me angry. Sure Leenock went for early attacks every game, but what was he supposed to do if he sees a weakness in Naniwa's build? Just let him play uncontested and extremely greedy? Of course you have to punish that to gain an advantage. That's just what Leenock did. There is nothing unhonorable about it. More than anything, I think that took the ball to Naniwa's court to do something different, but he never did. Leenock just kept abusing the weakness in his build.

Wow I can't believe Leenok took MLG Providence! 16 years old...that's inspiring...Is is true he doesn't go to school though? That's crazy? Is he being home-schooled?

Why call Leenock's choice of strategy cheese when Naniwa FFE every single game, it was a response to a build that worked and his opponent was stubborn about it every game. Leenock found the weakness and Naniwa did nothing to fix it. Naniwa deserved to lose for bashing his head into FFE every time.

lol. Leenock actually is destroying TL. I'm impressed.

This puts Nani in an interesting position. An awful, awful lot of people are going to claim he doesn't deserve the code S he gets from this. The Nestea drama, getting bounced from code A a billion times, and his compete failure to adapt in the final games there... none of that looks good.

I think he has one shot, and one shot only when he walks into code S. If he proves himself, he deserves it. If he's bounced again, I think that's just about it for him in the court of public opinion, especially to the netizens.

The Nestea non drama you mean? Because I seem to remember someone, I think MLGAdam, giving a long explanation about why he didn't think there was any shadiness or cheating, and as for the percieved bm, Naniwa himself explaining he never meant to insult Nestea and his words just came out wrong, he would never want to disrespect Nestea.

People Naniwa beat this weekend, one after the other;

MVP
Nestea
Nestea again
Huk
Dongraegu

Seems to me like he just proved he's good enough to be in Code S. Whether or not he performs is not, I don't think, the issue. He definitely has the ability to do well. He's clearly demonstrated that it is possible for him to beat ANY PLAYER IN THE WORLD.

So if we know that it's well within his ability to beat any player, why is it an issue for him to be in Code S? So he didn't do well in the final 4 games, oh well.

What else do you do against protoss Forge FE? Just let him have it? You have to be like that in the early game to punish it severely.

Taking a fast third also works very well against FFE- we've seen plenty of zergs win like that.

FFE in PvZ is as standard as hatch first in ZvT. I don't know why people are suddenly up in arms and complaining that it's insanely greedy.

Boxer beats yellOw with 3 bunker rushes, fans react with max applause and talk about it for years to come. Leenock does ZvP equivalent, gets labelled a cheeser.

You change history, boxers cheese was not that loved at the time. It was the same whining.

Doesn't matter. He only had to win one game to win the 50k. He decided to try a FFE when he knew Leenock had the perfect counter 4, I repeat 4 times in a row. Inflexibility to adapt at that level means you shouldn't be deserving to win.

Maybe if nani didn't Nexus or forge first every single game. People hate on Leenock, what is he supposed to do?? let Nani get 4 collos than attack??

Maybe everyone should let MVP go 3 CC before Barracks and play a long macro game. IT's a smart thing to do...

Hey, i'm a Naniwa fan and a swede! I wanted the impossible from this final - for both players to win >.<
Great games and great tournament. Congrats to both of them!

Awesome, awesome tournament, but mediocre finals. Naniwa surprised me, because he's usually so solid about scouting and playing carefully when need be, but even after getting hit with early aggression three games in a row he really failed to scout in that final game and predictably paid the price. In a way Naniwa reminds me of Idra in that he's mechanically great and overall quite solid, but there's something often very staid and predictable about his play and it holds him back from being truly great. He's an A- level player and I think Leenock may be an A, and at his age he has the potential to become an A+ (aka true bonjwa).
