At this rate we might become the biggest alliance in the universe (sounds evil).
Yea, we're already the second biggest. Also, we have the lowest average points in the top 200 alliances xD

I played this game years ago, that is until I got farmed 24/7 and lost interest. Is there any good way to prevent this?
|
Join a good alliance like TL
No im clueless. I dont know. But there are already debris fields on my neighbours planets. I havent been attacked yet. I could imagine its because of our big alliance.
Im at pos 12 with a 163 size planet. Thats ok i guess ?
Atm im following this build guide: http://ogame.wikia.com/wiki/Quick_Start_Guide I wonder why it says i should get a small transporter asap ? What should i do with a small transporter ? Wouldnt be a recycler more useful to farm these debris fields ?

How can I join TL? My planet is at 3:375:6 by the way

If you see someone has launched vs you, and can't kill their fleet, load up your res, ship everything off-world, and turn off res. People won't attack if you aren't profitable.

Small cargos are much better, because they can raid un-defended planets around you, and if someone launchs against you, you can load up your resources and move them offworld, to avoid the hit. You normally get more money with raids, than from debris fields, anyway.

Here's part 2 of a series of basic guides I hope. Since we're starting to build ships, I'll start to get into a few things. For the most part though, the ogame wiki has all of the basic info, so I'll be linking a lot to there.
There are a lot of different types of ships, and each have their strengths and weaknesses. However, we're a bit away from most of those ships. Currently, If you're intending on attacking people, the most important thing to work towards is espionage probes. This takes a bit of work, but you'll need it to see what people have for defense. Small cargoes allow you to take resources from others, and light fighters will help you kill defenses for now. Here's the list of ships, but don't worry too much about that for now. http://ogame.wikia.com/wiki/Ships
Now in order to use ships, there's two ways to launch essentially. If you're looking for a target you want to go to galaxy views and use your espionage probes from there. Just click on the eye (under actions) and it'll send a certain amount of probes to the planet. The default number is 1, but it can be changed under options.
The espionage missions are very short, as probes are the fastest ship in the game by far. It should only take around 1 minute or so for nearby planets. After the mission, you'll get an espionage report. An important thing to note is there's a maximum of 4 possible tabs. They are in order, fleet/defence/buildings/research. If you don't see them, that means your espionage tech isn't high enough and/or you didn't send enough probes. It doesn't mean there are no defenses or ships however. Many people make this mistake starting out and send their ships to die. From the espionage report you can see how many resources them have always. Also if you have anti-game, you can see how many ships you need to send to get maximum resources. In ogame, you can capture up to 50 percent of the resources on the planet, but the formula is a tad confusing so you end up needing to send slightly than enough cargo space. Small Cargo can hold 5k resources. + Show Spoiler + From the screenshots you can see the effect anti-game has. After clicking the espionage report, you'd usually want to click websim, assuming there are any defenses. It'll import the info to a website and allow you to simulate combat results. The online version only runs 20 simulations, so if you want to be careful you can download (http://www.speedsim.net/index.php?page=downloads) and run more simulations to be sure. Then from there, clicking attack will bring you to the the fleet tab, and set the end coordinates to the other person's planet. The travel time is the time to get there, and it must also return. You want to be online during your attack however, otherwise he can build more ships/defense while your attack travels.
For when you are under attack, you'll be notified by a flashing red caution, and you'll see the time before the ships hit in the top bar for fleet movement. For the time being, you want to send them a message telling them (kindly) that you are online and you'll spend all your resources before he hits. Failing that, try to spend as much as you can, or if you have small cargo send your resources elsewhere (to any other planet) and recall.
If anything seems unclear let me know and I'll update.
The other mission you can do currently is transport, and it is exactly what it sounds like. You drop off resources, then your ships immediately return. When trading remember to trade became the legal ratios of 2metal:1crystal:1deuterium and 3metal:2crystal:1 deuterium. If you are lower ranked than another person, you are not allowed to gift them free resources, as this is called "pushing" and you will be banned for it.

I just started and sent my application :D.

So I just got my first small cargo. How do I find good targets to attack?
I'm trying to get esp probes but it will be at least a day. In the meantime, how do I figure out what to do with my small cargo ship? It won't let me attack 3/4 of the people next to me, and I'm worried that my ship will get shot down if the fourth has a rocket launcher.
|
Its really a gamble to attack blindly but if you do try attacking ppl that are like 500++ lower ranked ppl than you or someone else to spy some targets for you

Ask someone to probe for you or wait for probes yourself.

Rank isn't something to be going by, rather its people that are 1/5 your points (greater difference and they are in noob protection till 5k points)

I just found him a perfect target to hit. PMed on ogame

I see youuuu !

Also I should give you guys some heads up. What matters in this game in terms of power is fleet. Just because we have lots of members doesn't make us powerful. Also the max number of people that can attack together is 5 people, So you will see the more "elite" alliances will only have 15-20 members.
We are considered a "Mass alliance" which is generally viewed as a newby alliance (which is what most of us are atm, but we have some top quality players here to help people out )
