Time to go try her out. I think you'll like Viper, she's a lot of fun! Though you do hit this wall where you get hit by random DPs/ultras and keep losing for a while and it's stupid frustrating. Once you find a balance between getting into your rhythm offensively and baiting out stupid random crap, it gets fun again~

Yo Bill how do you get onto Arcadia Hearts? I've never been able to get PC fighting game shit to work (never tried that hard either) but I am open to exploration. I also just registered at SRK as EdgeoO and saw you posting in the Canada thread~

Thats the reason why i waited till sf4 to get into fighting. PS2 online sucked balls and no one around me played locally so there was no point in even bothering.
No arcade in town with fighting games either.

MiniRoman where do you liv---oh, you're EdgeoO on SRK? You live in Windsor? Shit, you're fucked then.
... Actually wait, I know a couple of guys who travelled here from Detroit (iirc) once, and we ended up playing a bunch of Arcana Heart together. They also play Soul Calibur 4 and a little SF3:3s, and they probably play SF4 as well. If you want I can try to get their contact info for you.
Then there's The Legendary Johnsons, who also live in Windsor. They are infamous thanks to a 2007 thread called 1st EVER Southwestern Ontario Regional Street Fighter Championship - Fighters Edge. Their SRK name was "TheLegendofLore".
There are so many laughs in that thread. Highlights include:
+ Show Spoiler +- Ridiculous rulesets for their tournament. (Their 1st post was edited repeatedly to fix the rules, but you can gauge how bad they were from the initial replies.)
- Ridiculous entry fee (higher than EVO!).
- This:
The 3 winners will take on either of us Johnson brothers in the Pool of Deception. You can win additonal prizes and have a chance to brag about winning against one of the Legendary Johnson brothers.
Yes, the Johnsons are SO PRO that only the tournament winners may have the priviledge of fighting them!
- They talk shit to everyone while at the same time asking everyone to come to their tourney.
- They show up at the big T8 tournament in Toronto with their parents. At the tournament, they and their parents point at the other gamers and laugh at how ugly they are. Seriously. They enter several games, get owned in almost every match they play, and leave before being eliminated, claiming they would have gotten far if their parents didn't make them leave early.
- They write racist flames towards an Indian guy named Anant (DadesiCanadian) who was at T8, when they themselves are Indian. E.g.:
DadesiCanadian, still sucking people asses just like most people like you do? I know you can't say anything to anybody of another race because it will disrespect you so much. You're just like Harmonaz, somebody stabs you in the back a million times, you say "Yes sir, may I have more!! (In a Indian Accent) I know people like you and you don't have any balls to say anything to anybody because you or they are kissing ass all day long. You don't know me and you will never know me. Just like people like you, you listen the bull crap coming from these people mouths and you say "Yes Sir, you're right!" (Indian Accent again).
Go run a 7-11 and go take most of the jobs in Toronto. Oh also you need to build your house to show off to all your friends and family. I'm something, I'm something. At least I have guts to tell people when their wrong and right. People like you have a yellow streak up to your head. Learn to be a human being. You're a human being and they are human beings. You're the same. I learned that a LONG time ago, apparently you didn't and probably never will. If you want to disrespect somebody, go disrespect yourself. You earned it. After more posts like this, someone replies:
So basically...
You and your family are a bunch of Pakis who try to be more white than white people?
That begins to explain a few things
- They get their mom involved in the flamewar:
My mom has a special message from her: (This is from her not me)
At least we looked a hell of alot better than any of you. I wish you would come and see me because I'm waiting for you to come here. Indians like you give so-called Paki's a bad name.
- Various other posts by them, such as:
Why not wait till T9? Come down here and see what your made of. My fist will be in your ass before it even hits my face. rofl what?
Psychochronic posts a pic of the Johnsons, and they reply:
You guys have alot of brains listening to some asshole who has all the time in the world to copy whatever we say into his folder and taking pictures of us for his GAY fantasies. Man, that asshole psycholoser has all the time in the world. Shit man these kind of tactics will get a chick in the end. Instead he goes after 2 guys who beat the shit out of him a couple of years ago, didn't get over it, STILL angry to this day and has the time to put all of our information in a folder for all of you other faggots to enjoy. Wow talk about being the *** of the century. Look like all you assholes like sucking HIS cock as much as he does all of yours. Man that's alot. I'll call him the Ultra Dicker Sucker Faggot the SRK world will love to have as their boyfriend. And when people laugh at the pic of "the fat one" because he's going bald, his brother explains that it was just the wind:
The hair on the fat one is NOT balding because there were alot of wind that day from the stench of all those there. Peeyuuuu!! Stunk from the Dorm to the Arcade so No he's not balding. Notice he even refers to his own brother as "the fat one", lol.
- As their tournament looms closer, MythicExile posts that more and more people from Toronto will be coming for the tourney(!!). The day of the tournament, NO ONE shows up besides the Johnsons. For some reason, they are shocked.
- After they bitch and cry about no one showing up, Nagata Lock II puts them in their place:
Now that this tournament is officially a complete and total write off, I have a few things to say to Wayne & Bryan. There were a lot of factors that worked against the two of you concerning this tournament but truth be told neither of you helped yourselves in so many regards it blew my mind. While I'm sure you were discouraged from your first outing, I suggest you take the following seriously if you ever want to run an actual tournament.
- Get local competition first. If you are living in a city that has no local scene then your tournament is never actually going to get off the ground. Larger tournaments are augmented by outside talent, not reliant on them. If either of you came to realize that you can't fill the required 8 or 16 players locally, you never should have made the attempt at promotion. It could not and would not ever work.
- Understanding your entrants. While you made adjustments quite a few times when this tournament thread was launched, it was a case of too little too late. You showed that you didn't understand the players you were trying to draw in and by the time you adjusted, they had already written you off. It's not the fault of the players in this regard. As an organizer and/or director you should have done your research.
- Location. This was a mess from the start. The entry fees for a small location in a town remote to the majority of your potential entrants burned what little chance players had of attending after the screw up in what games would be played on what consoles. In future scout a location that has a minimal or no cost to the players.
- Promotion. This entire thread made me sick to my stomach. I'm not going to flame either of you because plenty of people already did that. What I am going to bring up is the fact that the organizers took it upon themselves to aggressively alienate the very players that they need to make this tournament a success. For all I know, you thought backwards comic relief would draw people in. Maybe you both thought that aggravating people to a certain degree would draw them in to try and beat you. In either case, anyone could see that the directors talking trash on the players wasn't going to end well. In many cases, you as a director have to endear yourselves to the players despite the fact you personally don't like them. We don't live in a community wherein everyone likes everyone else. As a former organizer of a large and respected scene, it blew my mind to see directors actually flame the entrants they wanted to show.
As for myself...
For the people that know me, they know that I rarely hold my tongue on just about any subject so I was amazed I didn't piss all over this tournament earlier. However, I'll be frank in saying the following. The both of you made me FUCKING SICK when you took a shot at the T tournament. I put years of effort, promotion, networking, and money into that tournament. With a dedicated staff the last four years, we've managed to grow the T tournament into something huge. It's a tournament that players from all over Canada and the United States have flown and driven to in droves to attend. For either of you to shit over a tournament that myself and so many others have put truly hard work into is a disgrace. Neither of you have respect for tradition, the talent of the players or the hard work of directors and organizers that have come before you. You both need a true reality check as it concerns your place in the Canadian fighting game scene and the greater gaming community. You are but legends in your own minds. You have done nothing on any scale to get the notice of the gaming community aside from start feuds with other moderately known players. You have won no tournaments. You hold but a half decent rank in an online format that no one really cares about outside of the casual level. Get over yourselves.
Javi or Jaguar; would you mind closing this thread? It has served no purpose from a tournament perspective and it's comedic peak was quite a while back.

Thanks for replies.
I live in the GTA and Hamilton is a bit far,( T.T i don't drive), any idea of lans here?
i am blowing my cash on a pc tomorrow, but after that next new acquisition will be a ps3 and SF4, sadly fighting games require consoles XD
SO in roughly 2-3weeks i will be ready to get owned. and if i improve anything ^ ^ i will probably getting an arcade stick 1-2 week(s) after initial purchase.
edit :im an idiot XD

If you don't have a PS3 yet and sf4 is what'd make you buy it, you may rather just wait for sf4 for pc before making such a big investment. I mean, I'd love to have another tler on the psn, but you would probably end up hating fighters in general if you made such a big investment and weren't happy with it
