toad it seems they actually got to choose all of their roles, inlcuding who gets RB and GF. RB and GF can't be the same person, but RB and GF can both be masons. So presumably a GF could elect to be seen as a mason, and actually be a mason. Dunno why they would do that though when you could give a goon mason and make him essentially a GF as well as far as the DT is concerned.

that's exactly what I was talking about. Unless Mafia screws up big time and gives the Mason to the RB (or to the GF for the same reason) a mafia mason is essentially indistinguishable from a town mason. Therefore checking into masons isn't a smart move.
It's possible that they gave the mason role to their GF but really unlikely. Why would say do that instead of giving it to a good goon of theirs.

Yea, so I reread the whole thread from the start. Here's what I got:
Talismania is tomorrow's lynch. He has continued to ask inane questions, pursue irrelevant topics, and the problem is that people are actually getting distracted in responding to him. He has under the guise of ignorance tried to pass off anti town advice and is feigning contribution when it really is meaningless activity.
Other good scum candidates I picked up combing through thread were BioSC Hier Lazermonkey
VE is maybe 3rd tier. Unless he has a strong showing tomorrow I'd chalk him up scum using mason as an excuse for thread inactivity.
Reminder to detectives that you are ROLE cops, not ALIGNMENT cops. That is, checking masons are a waste of an investigation. Vigs should aim to shoot scum. SCUM. Shooting lurker is not ok unless you have reasonable belief that he is scum, because frankly we have too many and you will probably end up hitting a lazy townie.
Lurker is a very broad term. A player like Xsebt I would highly recommend not to vigi kill, while his filter is empty enough, he does at least try to make a post and we will be able to judge him later on. However grush or Dropula I'm 100% okay with getting shot. I looked through some of grush older games and he does indeed just do this no matter what alignment he is. The way I see it we have about 5/21~24% chance of him flipping scum. These are not good odds. But arguing that shooting grush tonight because he has a 76% of flipping town is stupid. Why? Because you are then Ignoring the fact that once we get to lategame with him we are in trouble as there is simply no way scum would ever decide to NK grush unless he is confirmed blue. Our chances of getting a proper read on grush not increase as the game goes on. Really. If grush actually wanted to play this game the way it was supposed to, he would've done that a long time ago.
grush and CountDropula are the most counterproductive people in this thread. They're being trollish for the sake of screwing with our heads and making us point fingers at each other instead of them. If they weren't scum, they'd be more helpful than they are now. Stop with the hints and talk straight at us.
My take on talismania is that he's spent entirely too much time trying to figure out who the blue roles are and entirely too little time talking about what he finds suspicious or who he finds suspicious.

Errandor has been at the soul of this WBG thing from the very beginning, and at its core, I think he's the cause of the chaos surrounding it all. It can be summed up with one question which Errandor has failed to answer satisfactorily:

It's as simple as that. The answer to that question is simple: because he had reacted in one way, wherebugsgo would certainly out Errandor as mason in the same manner he outted me. I believe he did it as a vehicle to discredit wherebugsgo when he outted him as mason by decrying his "antitown behavior".
I feel the fact that he's trying to appeal to everyone's emotions is indicative of the strength of his argument against wherebugsgo...he wants town to sympathize with him rather than think about the situation logically. It's scummy deflection.

Well what makes him awful is that he calls me scum every game and never has a shred of valid reason for it. Then he goes and says "well I only call him scum when he is scum!" when I've never been town (until now) with him anyway. I got super pissed when I realized he wouldn't change his opinion, ever. So why mason me? Because he's bad (or scum, but he would've had to stop being lazy)
Talis claimed vanilla with Trudy Campbell, right? Pete Campbell's wife; she's a really nice person in the show. She's a very loyal wife and stuff, not particularly likely to be scum unless BC randomized the roles. Like I'm vanilla and as Roger Sterling (son of founder and one of the four partners) so it's unlikely that roles are linked to importance.
I agree though, some of his posts feel a tiny bit off. However I'm more sure on prplhz+grush+broodking. Prplhz is tone of post and just overall feel. Grush is meta. Broodking is meta difference from LVI (he's clearly actively lurking)
SlOosh is town, Zephirdd...seems town. Although I could be wrong and he's mafia trying to make enough sense to live.
