We are extremely close to shutting down this thread for the same reasons the PUA thread was shut down. While some of the time this thread contains actual discussion with people asking help and people giving nice advice, it often gets derailed by rubbish that should not be here. The moderation team will be trying to steer this thread in a different direction from now on.
Posts of the following nature are banned:
1) ANYTHING regarding PUA. If your post contains the words 'alpha' or 'beta' or anything of that sort please don't hit post.
2) Stupid brags. You can tell us about your nice success stories with someone, but posts such as 'lol 50 Tinder matches' are a no-no.

Pill: Great, but she may forget and be too embarrassed to mention it. Also the hormonal change can often have undesirable effects (decreased sex drive or increased period cramps for instance)
IUD (aka DUI): Great, but heavy periods when it's first introduced. Easy to check if it's installed.
Nuva Ring: It's good, but I can always feel it, even with a condom on, and it's not a pleasant feeling. If you/she like it rough, I'd stay away from this.

Speaking of contraceptives, has anyone mentioned Implanon? It's a little rod that gets inserted into a woman's upper arm that provides contraceptive for 3 years and is then taken out. One of my ex's used it whilst we were dating and didn't have any problems with it, seems like a decent alternative to the pill if the woman is forgetful/reacts badly to the pill since it is relatively non-invasive and doesn't require any action after its inserted. Failure rate is listed as 0.05% which I'd say is pretty good.
Edit: In some cases it can also stop the woman getting her period, which may be convenient if she gets cramps etc.
