Well, I really do feel bad for his staff if they were indeed mistreated in this manner. He sounds like a real POS to conduct himself in this manner.

Oh this is terrible terrible damage to E-Sport.

and Gus's reply to when YJY's threatened to warn the Community of Gus's Shady Actions were
"GL with that"
Not sure how anyone going to defend him now. Pretty much Confirms our suspicions if that *Reddit* Statement is True.

can someone clarify what Gus did to IPL? im confused

This is disgusting and very damaging. Though it does serve as a lesson to IPL and others, to not always take the easy way out and to conduct better ground work/research.

I think IPL Pulled out of Sponsoring or wanting their name Branded on the Tournament PPSL Because of Gus's Repulsive actions.
Or they basically pulled the Plug on Streaming it through their Official Stream because of the Shady Dealings Gus had made.

The bad Information about this never seems to come to and end there seems to be a crap load of bad stuff that happened behind the scenes. Hopefully Best of luck to Team AZK members who were affected by this and did not know what atrocities Gus was doing behind the scenes.
It makes you think what kind of Horrible experience all the people who helped run the Tournament and awkwardness per-se people had to go through when their Boss *Gus* was Scum Bag and doing all this Shit to everyone.
Not paying people or feeding the Employees when they were promised pay and food?

Every insult I can think of that would describe the way that Gus has conducted himself doesn't seem adequate. It is actually insulting to the people who are d@#ks etc to be lumped into the same category as Gus.

This whole thing is incredibly disheartening and disturbing. I hope that things get cleared out and that there will be an official statement from the organizer (this Gus character), although I am not holding my breath. This should obviously lead to loss of sponsors and effectively be the last thing this person does within the e-sports community if everything presented here is true. I just hope that everyone that has suffered from this can somehow be compensated (especially if there are financial losses).
I read the statements from the team members and their friends and understand what they are saying but this will obviously also reflect upon the team. Having someone like this as the manager (that the team members now quickly, even if only anonymously, bash in public even before the event is over) will stain the reputation of the team. And the players that accepted spots in the tournament without qualifying for the event should be somewhat frowned upon, that is never good sportsmanship. They can obviously also clear themselves, at least to some extent, by claiming not to understand the situation beforehand. The team members working at the tournament and not being treated correctly should of course not be blamed for things even though there has to be some kind of limit to how naïve one can be (not sure how well they knew their team management but I would consider it weird if they didn’t know the guy at all and still be a member of the team).
Let’s just hope that there will be some kind of explanation and also consequences if this is truly the correct interpretation of current events. I liked the fact that IPL acted swiftly when they got to know about the situation. Although, I don’t really see the benefit in these prolonged discussions, person bashing, and guesswork by everyone that was not directly involved. Each part that has been affected needs to make up their own judgment of the situation and act upon that. Hopefully, us that were not involved will also be painted a better picture of the events when this has been done.

Now, I'm curious if ANYONE is going to get paid. If Gus didn't pay for the staff then I'm pretty sure he's not going to pay out to the players or casters. Or they are going to be strung along for months...with "promises" to pay.

It doesn't matter if you think he's 100% guilty, on principal you should give him his fair say before declaring him guilty. In both the EG/TSL and Major/Sixjax threads, people thought one party was 100% guilty until hearing the other side.
When these threads get so long the issue inevitably gets blown out of proportion and details get exaggerated left and right. At some point you have to ask the question whether some tournament in the Phililpines warrants all the attention and importance you are giving it. I remember the Major/Sixjax threads. Major's 'side' of the story never changed the fact that he conducted himself in an unprofessional manner, he just gave 'excuses' for his conduct. The people who were siding Major were using the skewed, Sixjax is an evil, scam team, therefore Major had the right to act as a douche, forgetting that his conduct is a direct product of his character flaws and not related to how 'badly' he was treated by Sixjax. The members of TL feel that he is guilty, based on concrete EVIDENCE, and until Gus says anything substantial that can prove himself innocent, he doesn't deserve a side of the story. It is obvious that he knows what's going on, as his team has been censoring the hate he's been getting since the start of this fiasco. If you have nothing to contribute in this thread, you shoudn't post at all. You claim that this thread is of no importance, and we have too much time on our hands, yet you continue to post your, it's not important anyway nonsense. This tournament had an allstar line up of players from all over the world, a qualifier for a spot in IPL4. Surely it warrants some importance? I sided for Major's because Sixjax never sent him to Korea like they promised, don't put words in people's mouth. You really should learn to read what I posted. There is no Major, Sixjax side. Major did wrong, and he was using this not sending him to Korea as an excuse for his poor conduct. I'm sure Sixjax not sending him to Korea has everything to do with him smurfing in Dox's tournament, even after he was told he was not allowed to go into it, ruining it for everyone, trolling everyone after that, lying about it, and lying about it again. You probably have no clue about what I am talking about, because obviously you know nothing about what Major did to the SEA community. Go read it up
Major didn't show 'his' side of the story. He gave an excuse, I'll repeat that again. There is absolutely NO link between Sixjax not sending him to Korea, and his childish antics. His 'side' was basically this, Sixjax was being mean to be by not sending me to Korea, therefore I am allowed to be a asshole to everyone else!
Back on topic, the best thing that Gus can do right now is claim responsibility, apologize to everyone, and perhaps compensate YJ in some form, because anything else would sound like a pathetic excuse.

I have to think they'd be able to take legal action if he withholds funds.

I predict the following meme's.
"Pulling a gus" when this happens again in the future, god willing it doesnt of course. "not enough RAM" easily the most hilarious esports problem.
"GL with that" for when someone doesnt really wish them luck with that, and then they get a lot of luck.
