Locked the database.
All games are bad games from now on.


Unlock with next patch from korona and InfCereal when they figured all changes out.
Can you guys update op?



GL with the changed bonuspool, i can be problematic up to impossible to collect data from the loosing player without ramscanner (e.g. they give full lost points form bonuspool and hide the change this way) If not that, alg. B will still fail more often than before.

About sc2gears:
They still dont give him the replay format data... Blizzard....
IF flaming cant read the hots replay format (and if he can not noone can) perhaps you guys have to get the data yourself out of the RAM.

Both solutions would force the ramscanner.
With over 50.000 user and 0 bans in all the time it should be safe to force the use.
Would suck for the Mac users tho.
But it would be possible to add a ramscanner for Mac if the users give you system rights.
But that is up to you guys now

Changepoint calculation of your opponent in last game calculated the wrong number.
Dont know why. Time format is implemented this strange way in java and i was to lazy to overwrite it.

Mark the last game as bad in the settings.

just see the huge spikes on the opponent MMR.
They increased the mmr-range for matchmaking a lot to reduce the waiting time for the lower playerbase.

Wouldn't it be possible to compare current available Bonus pool from the start of the match and the pool at the end to tell the difference or is it a lot more complex than that?

2013-02-19: Database is locked & games are marked as 'bad' - Blizzard has updated SC2 to 2.0.4 on some servers and rest will be updated during next day or two. MMR-tool does not yet support the new patch. Thus the tool database was locked & all games played after this point are marked as 'bad'. No timeframe on when the tool will be fixed yet. It is little more complex than that. But if I am correct the bonus pool mechanic change is likely fixable without requiring the memory reader (haven't checked how v. 2.0.4 handles it in practice. Only read descriptions & seen how it is done in HotS). If ram scanner is off then now there are more cases than before when pre-game points & bonus pool left cannot be deducted based on post-game results. But correct pre-game adjusted points & point change for these _new cases_ should be able to calculated.

Of course the actual implementation in 2.0.4 may be different than what was described (not yet checked in practice). Also regarding SEA server profiles Blizzard seems to have broken remaining bonus pool count for accounts from bronze to diamond once again (they fixed it originally in late last season). Now it seems to show the remaining master bonus pool also for the lower leagues...

Edit: in this message I have presumed that the match history would show the negative point change for the opponent as a whole. If it does not also the pregame adjusted points cannot be calculated without pre-game data. But will have wait & see how Blizzard has implemented the change.

you allready have it enabled and you are right. You get promoted under the value.
Game -3 -4-5 from rightr looks like good ones.
So the wrong value can come from inaccarcy of the calculated games, unexpected big mmr change in the last 2-3 games or little mistake in the offsets.
Or from a mix of it.
Your data is an indicator but no proof that the line is to high.
However with hots and wol seperated there is a good chance that the values will change again and if there is a mistake in gold-plat at the moment its very small.

Cool, thanks. Last season, when I was promoted from Silver to Gold, it happened immediately after my MMR crossed the threshold. So this promotion was a little bit of a surprise. But at least it was a pleasant surprise!

This has been a great tool. Thanks to skeldark and everyone involved in developing and maintaining it! I hope this sc2gears and this tool are able to live on with HotS.

It is normal as memory reader has not been updated. See original post. & message couple of posts back.

I did _blindly_ some of the implementation regarding unranked detection & bonus pool changes on Wednesday (EU timezone). But haven't had time to check how sc2gears handles the new replays (it crashed with one test sample). Dakota_Fanning gave an update that he is working with the new version of sc2gears. It is probably better to wait for that than replacing game ending detection & some other stuff provided by the sc2gears.

Also update regarding the bonus pool mechanic. Unlike I hoped earlier, Blizzard seems to hide the actual points you lose when you lose & have bonus pool available. This causes that most of the cases, when memory scanner is off & opponent loses, cannot be used for MMR calculation. Thankfully there are still some cases when opponent wins that can potentially be used for MMR calculation if memory scanner is off. If the scanner is on, the bonus pool mechanic change should not cause problems regarding the future MMR tool implementation.

Unranked mode will cause some problems as Blizzard does not separate which games are unranked & ranked in match history. I think I figured out one way to detect it, but there will likely be false positives in some cases where match data has to be thrown away (if your data) as it is potentially unranked game or marked as invalid (if opponents data). The new replay format _might_ also provide info regarding the game mode (requires support from sc2gears), which would be helpful regarding the implementation.

Also the source for new web profiles is mostly the same as before patch. No changes to webgrabber was needed. Also the lower league bonus left is shown correctly on NA & EU profiles (haven't checked if they have fixed it in SEA profiles yet).

But there is still no timetable on when new version of MMR tool will be available (personally have limited time before weekend). Also even if InfCereal and I manage to get the changes done faster in MMR tool side we might need to wait until sc2gears is updated.


Edit: the bonus pool accumulation rate may have been increased for the lower leagues (even if there was not supposed to be any changes regarding that before HotS). Not time to check into this now, but may cause problems.

Next, I post that notice because I think that there is a problem with [] Clan and the recognition of your profil. I entered my infos, it worked well, joined a clan a got that statement in my log :

After the end of a game, i would always hear "game good". Is that because its a "100% quality game"? I know that its not working atm because of 2.0.4. I was just wondering if it will be good to go after it gets updated.

To my knowledge, the program doesn't have any sounds.

Are you sure that isn't sc2gears successfully saving the replay?

Blizzard has changed the bonus pool accumulation ratios. There is a display bug in all web profiles (have checked NA & EU). On website the max bonus pool is still calculated based on the old ratio, but the new actual accumulation ratio is much faster. This will be problematic even if Blizzard fixes the display bug on web profiles as the new ratios are unknown & it is unknown at which time it started to accumulate faster for each server. Hopefully I can figure out the new ratios, but not sure how this case will be handled...

Hm, are you sure? I just looked in-game and changed my system clock and compared some values.

My friend is 1v1 Diamond, today he has 147 remaining bonus pool and in one week he'll have 200 (difference of 53 [probably still 52.2]).
I looked up a 1v1 Master player, today he has 616 remaining bonus pool and in one week he'll have 706 (difference of 90).
In my 2v2 Master team, today I have 410 remaining bonus pool and in one week I'll have 470 (difference of 60, 66% of the 1v1 rate).
In my 3v3 Diamond team, today I have 126 remaining bonus pool and in one week I'll have 143 (difference of 17, 33% of the 1v1 rate).

Everything appears to be unchanged as far as I can tell.

Wrote answer as PM. Had not looked at values from this night when wrote my earlier message to this thread. The display bug is on web profile side, but the accumulation rate _might_ be the same. If this assumption is correct, then Blizzard would have moved the starting point of bonus pool calculation to earlier point of time (on EU server roughly 23.5 hours earlier). And this matches to all data that I had collected during 18 h period.

--> accumulation rate is the same, but starting point has moved to ~23.5 h earlier (EU). + display bug on web profile side (values based on old starting point). Likely something similar for NA server.
