We've seen what a BW B teamer can do in star2 (MVP, Cool, IrOn, Zergbong), and mondragon was/is at least as talented as any of them. Just because he hasn't had a major tournament presence as of yet, don't assume he's going to be bad. He's probably one of the most talented players out there, and as we've seen in the past, he can thrive with little/no practice.

You are comparing him with the best zergs in the world right now...

I don't know why people doubt he's going to do well. If Flash switched over tommorow, everyone would probably say he's going to do really well regardless, because he's a really strong player. Same with mondragon. He's a great player, and he's got the same foundations as the best players in the world right now (Active B team Korean's at time of release, or top foreigners, and mondragon was right at the top).

I also just did a quick count of the TL Open qualifier spots. 13 Europeans to 2 North Americans. Ouch! E-Sports, specifically RTS, is still lagging way behind here. Hopefully it'll get some more momentum and exposure with NASL and more MLG and WCG.

There will be some oddities in the player pool and seeding for a while until the transitions smooth out, just like GSL has the "wrong" players in Code-S right now, and MLG has the "wrong" players in its 16 seeded players, and IEM5 had the "wrong" players representing NA and EU and KR, and Blizzcon damn near always has the wrong players. IEM has no code s or a, the "right" players either show up at the tournament or they don't

Those guys were just being rational and knowledgeable enough, unlike a bunch of people who will only see the end ranking at IEM and scream KOREAN DOMINANCE as if it was some sort of a be all end all argument. Korean dominance in BW was displayed by the skill gap that was visible in the actual games, not a WCG medal sheet or anything. When you see a top Korean BW pro play the game, you can tell that they're really that much better than any non-Korean. This isn't the case in SC2 at all (yet). What we've had at IEM is Ace exploiting a new air build in PvZ, Squirtle being lucky as hell and Moon probably playing the best tournament games in SC2 to date. It wasn't domination at all, it was just how things worked out in the end.

Just wanted to say that the reason the "wrong" players attended iem was not a system like code s/a but the fact that some of the "right" players didn't participate in the tournament incl. the online stage. And I wouldn't say that Fenix/QXC for na and sjow/white-ra/tarson/demuslim (socke) for eu were the "wrong" players. Really looking forward to this TSL, hopefully there will be some upsets

The qualification process for IEM WC was one of the most grueling open qualification systems I've ever seen. For NA and Europe, it was definitely the "right" players. Shame IEM couldn't organize an equally grueling quali system for Korea, but perhaps they will try to as ESL Asia gets itself established.

Zeerax - learn more than one build XD You seemed to do the same build every time ive seen you. He is very susceptible to early pressure. GL to goody though. If you take down nestea your e-rep will shoot through the roof! XD
