Predicting that (P)Tyler won't fall until he has to face (P)MC. But as solid and chill as (P)Tyler is... can he really beat the monster that is (P)MC?

Meanwhile... I hope to see (Z)Mondragon vs (Z)IdrA
Mondragon is the darkest of dark horses... has anyone even managed to dig up a good handful of replays of him?

@Crissaegrim - have you not SEEN how much HuK has improved since going to korea? I don't see him fizzling out this tournament, as rough as it is.
Expecting to see (P)HuK vs (T)Jinro, here. Between those two.. well, I wish I knew their matchup statistics from the practice house. The two of them probably already know which way that match is favored.

You heard it here first !.

There are two Hype-Threads about Mondragon, where you can find a bit about his current shape.

When exactly will the matches be played? All on Saturday before the replays get casted? Or do the players just play some time until Saturday? Is there a fix date?

Sorry if this has already been answered.

I'm really confident on two upsets, I wouldn't bet the farm on them, but if I'd really want to:

NesTea < GoOdy - I think GoOdy's style will counter NesTea hard.

NaDa < TLO - It's going to come down to the 3rd game and it's going to be an epic TvT.

As far as picks that some of you might consider "upsets" that I would definitely bet on:

HasuObs > Huk - It's PvP, I don't see Huk winning it given his poor decision making early game under pressure.

Naniwa > Ret - Naniwa is too aggressive for Ret.

Kas > Haypro - Haypro suffers from Ret Syndrome, macros too hard.

I'm smelling a Jinro vs MVP final and I think Jinro's going to take it since he's been evolving his play style and working out different strategies. I think he'll have the right openings and late game decision making to snatch it from MVP.

If Boxer stays in his current form he showed in today's GSL matches, Nightend will steamroll him.

after that IEM rape, I don't see any hope for non-koreans. Except those that train there.

You're gonna be wrong in everyone of those predictions bro. Except for Kas.

If you ask me(I know nobody does) I´d predict the following:

Tyler vs. FD in Ro16.
Tyler is on of the few who has it in them to beat a korean contender.

MC vs Tyler
Don´t see MC losing either. Now MC is a beast. He did good in GSL and didn´t falter or play less awesome since then. Tyler may be good when he gives it his all, but to win this he´d need to have trained more constantly before this tournament.

Loner vs White-Ra

I don´t know much about Loner, but nearly every game of White-Ra I watched he was losing with cheesy compositions. He only plays good when I don´t watch his games, it seems.

Idra vs NesTea
I don´t see any of them lose prior to this match.

Jinro vs HuK
Hard to predict. Even though MorroW is no slouch, I don´t think he trains enough to compete with Jinro. same for HasuObs.

Sen vs Fenix and Sen vs Boxer/Nightend.
Never heard of Nightend, Boxer played terribad as of late. Of Sen and Fenix, I think Sen is the better one.

MVP vs Genius

Can´t predict farther. Don´t see them underperform enough to not beat their first round opponents.

TLO vs NaDa

One(a little one to be precise) of the few who have a chance against their korean enemies.
Winner of this will also win next round to play MVP/Genius.

I just surveyed a random sample of the bracket entries, and, like me, they seemed to all have Nestea/MC/MVP in the RO4. The crazy thing is, the bracket is set up such that if they win their first games, Team Champ are all set to mirror match their way into the semis, and the mirror is each's best match up. Altogether they are 53-12 in their respective mirrors. The list of players that need to perform in order to make this happen is qxc, Nada/Kas, Tyler, White-Ra, Ret, Idra/Mondragon. We could totally see nine out of the last fifteen matches be mirrors. Craziness.

Still, let's not forget that Tyler managed to beat Inca at Dreamhack. All in all it's indeed quite funny that Tyler could - in theory - have to go through all GSL champions in order to win this whole thing. (fruitdealer --> MC --> MVP --> Nestea).

Ok now that would be pure triple distilled awesome. I know he likes to prepare very refined builds for his matches, but if he pulls that off, he should go to korea to win the gsl.
