However, players are free to release their own replay packs whenever or wherever they wish, provided they also release the pack on Teamliquid.net. If you want your TSL replay pack hosted at TL.net, host it at www.senduit.com and post the link in this thread. A staff member will download and host your replay pack at TL.net for you.

It is a mystery to me as well. Particularly in the wording of the last sentence. I don't think there is a deep reason for the new rule, just that they don't want the top 48 players making money off TSL on the side.

Because it's tls tournament. Obviously forbidden doesn't mean they are physically unable to do it. It means if they do it then they'll get punished which is fully within the ability of tl to do.
Rightfully theirs or whatever doesn't come into it.

All replays are property of blizzard (or something along those lines) which means you cannot sell replays by law (which is why a site like wcstrategy.com tied commentaries with their reps in order to commercialize them through subscription). TSL doesn't want to support players in their tournament that are doing something illegal or they lose face to blizzard.

Watched a few of Morrows reps, pretty good stuff I must say. Tho they really should have been marked with name so its easy to look through the matchlist and find interesting games and simply making it easy to find good opponents you want to see his game vs.

He cheated in an event TL worked tirelessly to bring to our community which is completely disrespectful to all their efforts. He was capable without cheating and resorted to it anyway. Why would they host his reppack on THEIR servers considering how disrespectful he was by cheating in it?
They wouldn't, I am surprised they even left his DL link up there. Hes a good Zerg, but he shouldn't get any favors from TL staff for the shit he pulled, as well as the others players as much as I would LOVE to see their games.

Reason is a good player, even though I don't condone him abusing at all, I still think that there's no reason his pack can't be hosted on TL? He cheated in an event TL worked tirelessly to bring to our community which is completely disrespectful to all their efforts. He was capable without cheating and resorted to it anyway. Why would they host his reppack on THEIR servers considering how disrespectful he was by cheating in it? They wouldn't, I am surprised they even left his DL link up there. Hes a good Zerg, but he shouldn't get any favors from TL staff for the shit he pulled, as well as the others players as much as I would LOVE to see their games.
Actually the TL staff wouldn't do HIM a favor. Since he quits playing now (at least he said that) I bet he doesn't really care what's happening to his replays. I'd call it a favor for the TL community... or at least for everyone who wants to watch his games.
It's still up to the TL staff I guess.

yeah these are strats that comes from experience, knowledge and development. they've been through so many stages to get where they are today and it seems morrow has skipped over all those steps to just hop on the finished product and mass practise a few strats without thinking much. not sure if i explain it well. im not stating this as a fact or anything, it was just what i was thinking when watching his replays. no one agrees with me? it doesent matter much tho, i may be wrong also (small sample size) so don't take my words too seriously.

i dont understand why people are saying that the players are leaving sc for sc2, how long does the beta last anyways? and wont blizzard have to shut the beta down before fixing all the bugs and stuff before the release?

I would imagine they will shut the beta down at some point, but they have already patched the server at least once. I would say they will probably run through a few more patches before they shut it down. I can only see shutting down the beta for two reasons. One, an enormous change that for some reason it can't just be patched into the game, or two. They are prepping for the games actual release.
I didn't read a set amount of time for the beta anywhere though.

About 3 months, maybe, i think the frozen throne beta lasted about 4-6 months, im not sure.

i dont think their overhyped; for the people who have been following these players for years on various tournaments. Its a great chance for the fans to see their favorite players play on various games and study them.
Personally i've been looking forward to the reppacks, especially of Mondragon

Definitely not overhyped. It is extremely helpful for players trying to understand the game to see someone doing the right things against weaker players. Watching progamers is obviously preferable but seeing someone like Idra just stomp on people can really teach people a lot.

Wrong, this thread is for rep packs of the players' ladder runs. They won't include the actual TSL matches.

JF didn't have to play the ladder (since he was seeded). As such, instead of ladder games he's just giving us recent games he's played to get in shape / etc.
Note that the games he took out are those from the actual TSL, not the ladder. As JF said, he's not allowed to release those (we have to watch the VODs if we want to see them).
