This thread is for discussing recent bans. Don't discuss other topics here. Take it to website feedback if you disagree with a ban or want to raise an issue. Keep it civil.NOTE: For those of you who want to find the actual ABL thread where the bans are posted. Please look in here: https://tl.net/forum/closed-threads/ |
Detrimentally was just temp banned for 2 days by GMarshal.
That account was created on 2011-06-01 10:02:53 and had 74 posts.
Reason: Being a dick like that is not allowed.
When you return I expect you to behave as a perfect gentleman.
he better stick that pinkie out as far as it'll go when he drinks his tea from now on!

detroph was just temp banned for 1 week by Xxio.
That account was created on 2012-01-27 01:05:48 and had 4 posts.
Reason: This guy...I dunno about this guy...
Well, I play Dota 2 for about a couple of hours and log on to teamliquid and check a thread in all caps citing some awesome marine micro. Not knowing what to expect (assuming it was MKP highlights) I click a link and my innocence was robbed from me. I'm holding TL admins responsible.

Counting Friday because of ROG, there's like 150 bans this weekend.
Nicely done mods.

That beta key thread is the biggest ban trap on TL, unless you guys know of another thread?
Seems like 1/4 of the posts in that thread end in bans, at least.

Just curious, does anyone know the longest that team liquid has gone without a ban? I was scanning through the automated ban list and I think the longest I can remember off the top of my head is like an hour to and hour and a half.
Thought it might be an interesting piece of data!

If you go back to 2009 three were periods of multiple days without any bans.

In a time before the dark times. Before the wall broke. Before Chill finally fell. Before Starcraft 2. The denizens of Teamliquid were a more peaceful group, and while they had their disarrangements an exile was much more rare. Some say that this is because Teamliquid's enforcers known as "mods" became more aggressive, others say that it was the people, but all agree, it was once a better place.

another ban trap was quoting a poll that hot_bid made as a response to a question I asked in the old ask TL staff thread.

I'd like to think of Team Liquid as...Helms Deep...and SC2 initiated the waves of trolls attacking. Mind you I'm from the trollbreed, so making a harmless analogy.

That alcohol in the pootang thread proves that the General Forum has been finally lost to the redditors. We must fall back to the keep and hope Gandalf arives with the rohirrem in time...

Wait Rekrul is becoming a mod again, when is this?! and who would the rohirrem be?
