This thread is for discussing recent bans. Don't discuss other topics here. Take it to website feedback if you disagree with a ban or want to raise an issue. Keep it civil.NOTE: For those of you who want to find the actual ABL thread where the bans are posted. Please look in here: https://tl.net/forum/closed-threads/ |

If so, welcome back! If not, might as well start making that second account now. A ban on an online forum could never actually change my view. I have the exact same feelings on the issue that led to my ban today as I did when I was posting in that thread. The only thing that will change is me no longer making my view known here on issues like this. Its just better for everyone. This is a gaming website anyways and I should learn to stay within that boundary. I'm certain there are forums to debate contentious topics with more leeway.

This is a wonderful place to get information about certain things. People here are very helpful, friendly, willing and in some domains, knowledgable, but debates ? Thats a nono for me. Im done with that.

Its funny you should say that because, that was me being very passive. I was actually making considerable effort not to be antagonizing. If you ever see me in communicate in any other forum or chat you'd know just how aggressive I truly am. In a more free environment, I wouldnt actually writes essays trying to cover all bases and angles in a delicate manner as I did in that topic. It would be about 4 lines, very profane and extremely blunt.
What Im saying is that what I posted in that topic is not what I was really thinking. What I was actually thinking would not have needed to be rendered in all those walls of text I wrote. The lengthyness of my posts were my attempts to make it more personable by trying to paint an as accurate a picture as I possibly can of my views on the matter to the readers so can understand more clearly why I feel the way I do. Normally, I don’t actually care who gets offended and wouldn’t make the slightest effort to give more insight into my mind. The only reason I did that here is because I realized that people here are quite sensitive about certain topics so I tried to be as informative as I could while maintaining my unique point of view. I failed obviously and learned that its better to simply stay out of such topics here.

i did pretty much the same thing after i got banned. stopped talking about casters - end of story because they all annoy me too much :D the cold turkey phase of being unable to post for 40 hours drove me insane so i knew i had to fix the problem
still surprised by jinglehells ban, other people who contribute as much as he does get a lot more leeway, although im not familiar with his mod history

He's gotten temped more than a few times and warnings for aggressive posting in the Tech forum.
I'm not surprised, but I like JingleHell. He, SkyR, and Myrmidon are the triumvirate of the tech.

Page 1000 is coming soon. As it approaches I wonder if I will have the inner strength to get myself banned for that honor.
It is a question that hits me at my core. I must know weather I have the ability to rise up and grasp something that will only come once and to take it for my own.

Id martyr for the honor but ummm..............i already got banned 100 times this week all over the web for asking christians about goatfucking so im sore.

I don't suppose your pain has anything to do with being particularly fond of a certain farm yard animal? Just the way you worded that

Yeah they have all put in a lot of time to helping people in the Computer Build Resource thread, which I find admirable. Answering the same types of questions over and over can get so tiresome. Especially since a good chunk of the people they are helping are tech n00bs with no business plugging in a mouse let alone building a PC.
If I started trying to help people in that thread, I would make it about 5 posts before going into a massive rage and getting permed. So props to them. lol

I only recall one of JingleHells temps being in Tech Support. Could a mod give us a list? :3

Sore from bans not happy times with farm animals lol. Christians are so fun to troll and surprisingly even when faced with a "sick fuck" who's intent on "spreading the joy of goatfucking", they are far more moderate in their use of bans than here. I think ive said it before, TL is the most heavily moderated community ive ever come across.

Hm? He didn't reform anything - he essentially just said he has the sense to keep quiet on topics where he can't control himself.
And he did that while being passive aggressive, because we're "too sensitive to handle him". Yeah, as if that's even why he was banned.

Look at you actin' all high and mighty. Good on you man, fight the good fight. Keep yourself close-minded and don't ever change your opinion, god knows that only ever leads to trouble. (For the thick amongst us. Why should the medium of the opinion change how you view it? Just because you're reading it on an internet forum instead of real life means you won't take it seriously and can't be bothered trying to change yourself? Kk)
Anyways, page 1000... it approaches...
