You know, had you sent a polite, well worded PM to Nyovne apologizing, the mods may have switched your perm ban to a long temp ban. But as of now you have practically acheived a lifetime TL ban. Or at least until your IP changes.

On a serious note though, yeah it's stupid, and why do people (more accurately PBU's who express an intent to remain on TL against the wish of the moderators) make their new accounts that much more visible by posting in the ABL thread of all places ^^ Is it to get some sort of "message" across, at the expense of wasting an account? I'm not a PBU so I wouldn't know *looks around nervously*

Theoretically I think you could. Most broadband users should be able to grab a new IP by resetting their cable or dsl modem, then you just need to choose a user name that is actually different from your old one. Really no other way TL staff could track a user.
The problem is of course, most PBUs don't learn any lesson and continue posting poorly resulting in the new account getting banned. So I guess in that way, it's a fool-proof system.

I was surprised that "rickrolling + trolling" was the reason for the ban. Rickrolling sure, but the trolling was so brilliant indeed that it was an attenuating circumstance rather than an aggravting one. Well that's what I think anyways ~~
