I've been in gold since SC2 release but last week I starting focusing on purely macro and now I'm constantly beating platinum players. | ||

It is important to also know appropriate unit compositions, hahahaha. I massed roaches vs mauraders for a long time in bronze, because they looked like they would be able to take more heavy hits. XDDDD I do think to an extent, because the macro isn't going to be that great no matter how much you work on it, it's really important to understand how to scout in the lower leagues, and how to counter your opponent. Just remembering to go check what kind of units your opponent has, and building something appropriate in response is something most bronze/silver league players forget to do regularly. Aside from that-- the thread is a load of obnoxiousness all around. -.- | ||

Obvsiously knowing what unit counters are is kind of important but that will lose you less games than shit macro will. | ||

But it's a very frustrating thread: the lower level players are basically bashing the strat forum veterans for something they don't really do (people don't just write "macro better", they post pretty detailed critiques in most cases) and then making really weirdly illogical arguments about how you don't need to macro better if you're in silver because silver players don't macro very well. Or something. I keep finding myself drawn back like a moth to flame, but I think I need to just stop opening that thing. It's not good for my blood pressure. | ||

That account was created on 2010-12-02 04:27:17 and had 173 posts. I found that one amusing, since it's totally missing a reason. Makes it look like samaNo4 was banned for having an account created on the wrong day and/or the wrong number of posts. | ||
