Wegandi was just temp banned for 1 week by Seeker. That account was created on 2011-03-12 14:09:12 and had 2197 posts. Reason: Once again, please follow the USPMT rules and guidelines regarding sources. What you posted just now was absolutely unacceptable. You’ve been given mod actions for this before. Please shape up your posting. iPlaY.NettleS was just temp banned for 1 week by Seeker. That account was created on 2010-06-23 17:12:27 and had 3669 posts. Reason: While it is okay to voice your opinion, it is not okay to push it as the one and only truth. Please thoroughly fact check your statements before you make them. Also, take a break from USPMT. You really need it. | ||

Also I've had totally pleasant encounters with people that really frustrated me - xDaunt to start with - on other section of the site and by pm over other topics. It's not as bad as you guys make it sound like. The "let's not talk about politics" is easier to manage, but the result it's the reason people end up interacting exclusively in ecochambers. For all our flaws, this is still the best place to hear about people perspective I have found on the internet. | ||

Two of them were heavy conspiracy theorists more than they were conservatives, and the rules prohibit posting really shitty sources over and over (this is what got nettles). Doodsmack posted conspiracy theories with slightly better sources (Nettles frequently uses youtube videos), then responded aggressively to shit posts, in addition to a long mod history. Wegandi's final post violated one of the main rules of the thread something like a dozen times. If you put a link, you have to summarize it and explain why it's relevant. Instead he posted like a dozen links without context and said "read this" instead of responding. @Nevuk I report posts I find to be of low quality all the time. Sometime the people get hit, Sometime not. I don't complain after. It's easy to cheerlead your opposition getting punished. | ||

No I mean you can question the bans and people in charge are super open minded here when it comes to questioning their actions, BUT martyring, like "I will probably get banned for saying this" and such is usually not well received. You won't be banned at all for anything you said, except maybe that bit of sentence. I would remove it  | ||

Taelshin was just temp banned for 2 days by Seeker. That account was created on 2010-09-22 04:13:32 and had 195 posts. Reason: Uuuuggghhhhh... Why did you have to add that unnecessary statement? That’s known as “martyring” on TL, and it results in an automatic temp ban That was like watching someone walk towards certain death and be powerless to prevent it 😢 Truly horrible. | ||
