Eteoneus was just banned by Seeker. That account was created on 2019-02-02 08:36:12 and had 20 posts. Reason: PBU Managed to make 20 posts on this one, should be proud of himself.

Yes, Eteoneous was an aide/servant of Menelaos' If you google machine it the results say "weapon-carrier" but that was more of a title than a comprehensive description, people in that position did a lot more than carry their masters' weapons He also appeared in the Odyssey

If the writeup is huge with a poem added in, does it take up a page by itself? It's a forum thread like everything else, so I'd guess 20 events per page by default? However it gets a new post automatically every time you ask a question like this, so I'd be careful if I were you.

IgnE's original case against iamthedave's proposition, was returned with a sort of 'haha, you only make my point for me'. But I don't understand why you think I would pose a rhetorical question that makes my "own initial objections less valid," and rather than assume one of the myriad ways in which you could be wrong, I'd like to know exactly which way you are wrong. It's fine if you want to admit you have no idea what I was talking about. But then I'm just left wondering why you bothered to object at all. It's never over until one of the usual suspects closes the loop in a defense of intentional misinterpreting free from consequences. The whole IgnE exchange starting with Simberto's version (incl. quoted posts) of the old "Conservatives aren't voting against the policies that have screwed them over, they're actually being conned into voting against their self interest!" canard is very instructive on how the non-argument proceeds. I'd challenge any mod to look at that exchange and go beyond dodging to pages of mod notes and actually give a reason that IgnE should be banned here. Did he need to only give an additional two sentences explaining why his erstwhile speaking partner did not legitimately try to have a conversation? Seeker? Liquid`Drone? Falling? They are gonna tell you to make a thread about it. I have now realized why they do this. It's an additional filter, so that people don't make threads unless they ACTUALLY care, and so that they have less threads to respond to, and fewer eyes on said threads since they are in the Feedback section which is not expandable on the left. Basic psychology, but brilliant.
