Lol at the closed necroed Hearthstone announcement. Was kinda anthropologically fascinating, and makes you understand why Blizz ignores the fanbase sometimes; HS's announcement response was enthusiastically "meh" from just about everybody and then it goes on to be this massive phenomenon/cash cow.

Reason: Saying "don't read if you're a moderator" doesn't allow you to freely insult people.

if this were my perspective i'd play a lot more RA2 or RA3 or CoH1. however, i think the Blizzard development team is at minimum competent and probably better than competent. as far as their top design guys go i think David Kim, Dustin Browder, Chris Sigaty, Tim Morten, and Greg Black are all pretty smart guys. if i did not believe this to be the case i'd play a different RTS game and forget about Starcraft. Even though SC and SC2 are my favourite RTS games and Blizzard ismy favourite company .. i still play other RTS games for fun and variety. its interesting that RA2 , RA3 and CoH1 are my favourite non-Blizzard RTS games considering the games Greg Black, David Kim and Dustin Browder had a big hand in creating before they arrived at Blizzard. Blizzard knows how to hire top notch guys. Do you have Dyscalculia or was it a misstype? It's 46%. u want to talk to me in that way, great. can you read? 45 + 12 + 9 = 68% this group wants an increase in starting worker counter.. as do i. Depends on how you interpret the information notice how you wouldn't say that 55% dislike the 12 worker change and want it scaled back. I wouldn't call anything less than 6 substantial 12 workers was a substantial increase because it was double the workers less than that can't really be defined as substantial. in the hands of 2 good players even 1 more starter worker makes a huge difference especially when u only have 6 to start with. Don't read if you're a moderator + Show Spoiler +Jimmy you really are a window licker (not meant seriously, just antagonistically) They both start with the same workers so your example is irrelevant so I won't bother down that road. Incidentaly (or not?) there is a guy just recently banned from L'Hearth for saying repetedly how competitive HS sucks.
About a HS tourney:

About a player joining a team:
On April 22 2015 10:50 Specialist wrote: He would be much better off to drop off hs as a profession and work on something related to law school, but he will realize that soon if he'snot stupid enough
And in general:
On July 25 2015 11:13 Specialist wrote: competitive hearthstone doesn't exist
more of like... small circle running show
if you invite them enough, eventually they will all win something
for example, trump won some tournament i saw lol

So the idea that competitive HS is nonsense lives on. (Honestly, I hold the same opinion, but I don't go to a HS forum to spread it. I also think that SC2>>>BW and I have resisted my urge to spam this notion across the BW forums for many years.)

Yeah, but the early HS criticism wasn't "competitive HS is silly." That's the modern take. I'm not sure if I hold it, but I don't watch competitive HS since I think it's boring, which might be a version of the same idea.
But the necroed thread was mostly initial reactions to the announcement of somthing big. Now, admittedly, the thread was abuzz with the idea of Starcraft: Ghost or Project Titan or Blizz Allstars (combo-breaker!), so it's no huge surprise that the initial reaction was mostly: "What? Is that it? April Fools? Card game on PC? WTF? What is Blizz thinking?!?!?"
But we all know HS went on to be massively successful and popular. Hell, it stole Day[9] from us Starcraft fans, which you can hardly blame him for due to all the visibility Hearthstone has. I have a ton of super-casual friends who would never dream of playing Starcraft, or even Heroes, who love Hearthstone to death. And the numbers of HS players is now way in excess of WoW players (and maybe all Blizz games combined), which is saying something.

subtle insult to HS players... actually, maybe not so subtle.
