FXopen was trying to be positive in a very negative thread and an admin called him out with a post that would have been warn-worthy if anyone but an admin had written it. It's not very fair to call someone a retard for an arguably unjustified reason and then just ban them when they say something back.
I bet you've never lost to a hacker in a tournament. I bet you've never played in any tournament in the first place.

I kind of understand both parties now.
At first I didn't know the full story so I was kind of giving wrong arguments for which I've been warned for by Manifesto which I should thank him for correcting me else I'd have never looked at the thread again.
Also to you Enkil  for pointing out the post of the ONE manager and his reasoning. I read the rest of the pages and found out more about his reasonings.

First of all, my experience in tournaments has nothing to do with the topic. Though if you want to shoot yourself in the foot, be my guest. I've played in a number of tournaments and taken first place in the M/M tournament during beta by beating a player in the finals who was later confirmed to be getting information from the stream. I dropped a number of games to him that I would put down to his cheating. Not quite hacking, but pretty similar.
Not that it matters in the first place though. My experience with hackers/cheaters does not change the fact that fxopen was banned for questionable reasons. I don't know why you brought it up in the first place. Regardless of how stupid or flawed you may feel FXOpens argument/post was, his first post was not ban-worthy. He was then verbally degraded by an admin because the admin didn't like his opinion, and then banned when he responded with a similar tone to that of the admin. I think it's pretty clear Steve could be warned/banned for his post calling him a retard if he weren't an admin. FXopen did not really escalate anything, yet he was banned.

Also notice Idra not getting perma banned.
Banning policy is purely something decided based on personal grudges and has not a shred of moral authority. It actually makes this site worse.

No it's not. People that put into the community and have been a long time member can get away with more than say a 30 post guy. Is it unfair, maybe. Is it justice yes. This is the way TL is run if you dont like it you might as well leave.

You clearly have no idea what that ban was all about. First lose to a hacker in a major tournament and then feel free to start defending him and anyone else who wants him in his roster.

edit: I just realised something else. Even though I gave you a link to the thread saying new hacks are just a matter of time, you still seem not to be worried about hackers. Not only in tournaments but also on the ladder. And not all of them are that dumb to make their hacking obvious.
If you want to realise how big of a threat they are to both competitive gaming and gaming for fun only after you've dealt with significant amount of them then it's yours and only yours way of approach.
