I so agree with this sentiment, but i wonder if 2-day bans are enough? I mean that warning has been there for LR-threads for a long time now, and people still dont get it or keep doing it... Or is it something like 2-day for first offence and then if you do it again it is a week etc? For i imagine many dont feel like a 2-day ban matters so much...

Normally the types of comments that are getting temp's in the LR threads are just warned. But with the way LR threads work(especially in SC2) - a temp ban serves it's purpose much better. Whenever it comes to banning, we always look at the user's history - if they have a history of warnings and bans - of course the ban is going to be harsher. If someone has 2-3 warnings stacked on their history, we'll 2day them unless it's something extremely stupid, etc etc.
I am just sad how the LR-threads have gone downhill even compared to the first GSL LR. I work when they play and back then i could actually keep updated and get a nice feel of the games through the LR, there was some stupidity but i could live with it. Now going into the LR is a pretty awful experience, and i have found that just idling in some irc-channels give me a better understaning about what happens and LESS spam/cheering/useless oneliners than in the LR.

I think TL is one of the few places on the internet where personal attacks are generally frowned upon and often have consequences. This is one of the things that makes TL great, but the mods need to set a good example in order for all the other posters to follow. When someone calls someone else a retard it makes me cringe in real life as well as when reading it.

I would like to use this awesome thread to express my unconditionnal love for TL's moderating team.
I reported a post by that guy (heavily trolling in the IEM's LR thread) and he was banned like 2 minutes later.
The general post quality has dramatically dropped on TL for a few months now, especially in LR threads (OMFG TERRAN SO IMBA!!!! ftl) and if it wasn't for our banlings' awesome job, TL forums would hardly be better than Bnet's.
Let's rejoice we still have a good number of people who post awesome content on a daily basis, and great mods to prevent n00bs from destroying everything.

Agreed. I was actually really weirded out by FXOpen getting banned. Fakesteves post before was completely inflammatory in my eyes. FXopen was trying to be positive in a very negative thread and an admin called him out with a post that would have been warn-worthy if anyone but an admin had written it.
It's not very fair to call someone a retard for an arguably unjustified reason and then just ban them when they say something back.
