You can believe that transgender is a mental disorder, but you can't be a dick about it on TL (just like every other topic). Showing an extra bit of respect when dealing with sensitive subject matter doesn't somehow make a person less opposed to the majority consensus, and it seems to help defuse the emotional side of things to make way for open and honest discussion. The posts you quoted were all pretty terrible and definitely actionable imo.
I'm surprised they went the "martyr route" with MDJ and didn't temp him for the mutilation remark. Seemed like an unnecessary barb meant to stir the pot.

I didn't agree with his post, but felt what he said wasn't inappropriate or overly offensive. At first I was appalled that he was banned for having an opinion different to TL, but now I see he got banned for the "martyr" comment.
But I wonder, had he made that post without the line at the bottom, would he have been banned or not?

Sorry about his feelings, but working as intended. A man should not be able to qualify as Miss Universe; he may be wearing a skirt, but there's a smelly sausage under it. I'm not trying to come across as ignorant, but that's the simple truth and no amount of surgery can truly change what nature gave him. Well unless he wants to castrate himself, but that still wouldn't give him ovaries and a vagina, and his body will never naturally produce female hormones (without supplements) in the amount biological females produce it.

I don't see how he can be "totally wrong" since it was an opinion showing that he did not understand the problem at hand. His wording was really bad though and I agree that it was a bit of a troll bait, stupid I would agree with as well. But he was not wrong.
I think a good way to put it is "you can have the wrong opinion, but your opinion can not be wrong" (unless you present it like it is a fact)
