The problem is that NeMeSiS was never respectful about anything at all.
You have to admit it's something everyone here could be better at. It's an internet message board and by nature we're very quick to assume the other person is totally wrong and grossly inexperienced with the opinion we present.
Sometimes we're all too caustic. Unfortunately, the reverse held true for Nemesis3. Sometimes he was not derisive of others opinions. But the standard expected when I'd read his post was one of negativity and assertion that he was right no matter what subject was being discussed.

Will be brutally frank: I never liked him, and it wasn't entirely because he and I disagree on everything. He had to always get the last word in, constantly felt the need to forcefully stamp his heavy bias on everything political, religious, and philosophical, and never appeared to hold back his derogatory demeanor. 'Least he took the care to write in complete sentences and use correct grammar.
P4's dropped a watery nuke on General with this ban. There will be fewer flames to douse in the future.

Wow, I reported that one too!
And it wasn't that I thought that one post was terrible; it's that I thought everything he was posting was a veiled insult. So I just picked the one that seemed the most obvious.
I really went back and forth on reporting it too.

He was obviously posting on borrowed time. He's one of the few people who stick in my mind as a bad poster and I don't even visit the general forum that often. I forgot if it was in the Diablo or Sports and Games forum, but I seem to remember him being an angry poster even when discussing more lighthearted material.

I will say this for NeMeSiS3, he did take my ridicule in stride.
On two separate occasions, I treated him pretty poorly because I thought he was taking a ridiculous stance and the little devil on my shoulder suggested that I should not only correct him but mock him in the process. That's usually a formula for ensuring that whoever you're disagreeing with never comes around to your view of things. But twice, NeMeSiS not only admitted that he was probably a little off base, he kept his good humor as well.
Now I can't condone his general conduct, which did tend toward caustic asshattery, but I can say that he wasn't entirely devoid of admirable qualities!
That's my eulogy.
