It's plausible that you could find the PMs and know the site.
But then knowing about the ABL or finding it within 24 hours of registering as a user is a bit much. The ABL isn't that old if you were here a 'lifetime ago.'
The way I see it, you're either:
a) the offending user on an alt
b) an regular/semi-regular user posting on an alt (rather than risk moderation for sharing PMs)
As for a possible candidate for the offending user, the only ban by motbob on or around the date of the first PM (Sept 27th 07.43) was on Sept 24 2012 12:56

That account was created on 2012-09-23 13:34:07 and had 3 posts.
Reason: Previously banned user .

Uhm, I don't think anyone really understands the rules of blogs, but they tend to be a bit more hands-off. If it's your blog, you can ban people from posting in it, and generally you have to be either violating ad policy, committing severe plagiarism, or something else truly severe.
KingCharlie is probably a good example of "Only in Blogs".
