Reason: Still not learning. Off topic MLG bashing.
This is the end of the line, next one is going to be a much more permanent solution to the problem.

Well, he didn't start with it, it's buried in a jumble of other things, and the cited reason was not "this post shouldn't be being posted" but a concern about a different rule (show a replay)...

i think there might be a policy shift underway here..
or perhaps i should say an attempt to get back to the original premise of the 'bans for martyrs' policy.

Hmm.. that was not how I viewed their policy. But if a banling say so. I always thought that they put martyring first, as in no mater the content, if you martyr you will get banned even if it is a great post otherwise.

I think that's how it has been working for a while now, but it was suggested that they were trying to change that.
I'm not sure if they are still discussing it, or if they decided to try to nuance their position a little, or if they've just flat out decided it's too difficult to consistently differentiate.
In the case I was PMing about, another mod banned the guy as a martyr anyways!

That is possible, I didn't even know that they where going to change it, but it makes sense I guess. Then again he was banned by Gmarshal right now so I guess maybe they don't change it lol. Man you must be happy that you got ABL to cover your back right Gmarshal?

I can neither confirm nor deny any possible policy changes that may be taking place or under discussion, I do know that if you say "I hope I don't get banned for this" or "ban me, I don't care" or "these nazi mods will surely ban me just for expressing my perfectly reasonable opinion that GMarshal should go die in a fire because he is a rear end in a tophat!" Dammit, I can't report banlings for martyring three times in a single post!
Also, the Constitution protects my freedom of speech! Banning people for martyring is censorship and unconstitutional! My seventeen degrees from Harvurd law school said so, and I'll be calling the supreme court with a petition from reddit tomorrow to get a court order given to TL!
