Is it just me, or does the wizard seem to have some rather awesome advertiser detection skills? He barely bans for anything else, but an ad shows up, and poof, a bolt of lightning, a cloud of smoke, and a few flying monkeys later, we have a dead spambot.

To be fair if you find any genuineness in a boy/girl band from any part of the world then you're also a very excellent person for targeted advertisement. However it is one thing to say "I do not believe in the image these adults are portraying" in a blog and an entirely different thing to walk into a thread focused on the celebration of kpop and shouting it in a coarse and pithy post.
It's like posting in a Diablo 3 thread about how much you hate D3 or posting.. anywhere in the SC2 forum how much you hate SC2. The other users don't. That's why they are there. If you find yourself resolute on expressing your opinion then the blog forum is always welcome.

My journey began after he messaged me on IRC explaining why he wanted to get permed. However, I was AFK at the time and didn't get the chance to respond:

For some reason, I felt a dire desire to find him and prove him wrong: tell him that he really did belong in this community. I couldn't leave him hangin'. So I went to google and typed in Aerisky. I didn't know much about him. In fact, the only thing I knew was that he liked classical music and that he was from the US. However, luckily I didn't need either of those facts.
I found his SoundCloud account of the same name. A while back I discovered this awesome program called APEXvj that "visualizes music" for you, and I had to create a SoundCloud account for that. So I messsaged him this:
Hey dude,
If you are the correct person, you sent me a message yesterday on IRC about why you decided to perm yourself on TL. Listen, everyone really does like you, and I want to talk to you more. Please be the same guy, respond if you see this. I just want to talk to you.
I don't know why I felt such urgency. But I did. It simply felt unjust for him to have this misconception that he didn't fit in. So then I waited. And waited. In all honesty, Aerisky drifted to the back of my mind. Until today. I got this message from him back:

LOL at first I was like "WTF HOW DID HE FIND ME [I don't even use my soundcloud account really]" but then I just googled my name and google has it pretty high up for no reason =___= go figure.
But, um yeah, it is I! You don't have to speak as if I'm in danger of mortally wounding myself lol (though I guess a perm is sort of a TL suicide?) :O I dunno, I'm pretty sure you can't get unpermed anyway, no? I have missed TL a bit, not gonna lie. There is literally no other community of which I know that is, in general, as amazing.
Sorry for not responding sooner--I went to the ER with a collapsed lung on Friday and just got out today. Still feeling really nauseous from all of the painkillers ;__; I seriously couldn't make this up lol, terrible terrible timing attack (of pneumothorax).
VICTORY! SUCCESS! I found him. It was the same guy. I got the feeling, and probably rightly so, that I freaked him out a little. I guess I come on a little strong. So I responded with:

I know that the urgency is a little weird, but I just freaked out when I saw that you had written me a message and I didn't get the chance to respond. But really, everyone really does like you. I mean, if you really feel like it is unnecessarily sucking up time, but if your main reason for leaving was feeling like people didn't like you, don't worry. We talked about you in IRC, everyone was unhappy to see you go. I think you could talk to a mod, or I could talk to a mod, to get you unbanned. Really.
And I am really sorry to hear that about your collapsed lung. That sucks. How exactly does that happen? I know that Cr1tik4l on YouTube had one at one point as well, I heard it's not easy. Feel better! <3

The collapsed lung was entirely spontaneous lol, absolutely no trauma/injury/etc etc...but I'm all better now thanks :D
Yeah I feel like TL...is something I'll never truly grow out of--for better or for worse (hope for the former hehe). I've been through a lot of sites and games and what have you, but I think the simple community (for lack of a better word) is just OP, it's something you don't just grow out of c:

I'm fairly sure that Jedward are completely genuine. Still not sure entirely what they are though.

Was hoping my old acc wouldn't be revealed because I'm really not very proud of my old posts (not to mention it's the typical "looking back a few years and just shaking your head because you were an idiot" effect ;; ) but it could be considered more than fair punishment I guess. Really wanted start with a clean slate again but there's no such thing I suppose, so feel free to point and laugh  fwiw I denounce everything I ever posted except for that one bit regarding Federer in the Roland Garros 2011 thread, even though there were some typos and maybe a few parts that could have been included or done better.

Definitely happy to be back though, and with some thicker skin (literally, I think Cyde blogged my convo with him in soundcloud mentioning surgery...sadface). Still very sensitive which is a bad thing toi have on the Internet, but you live and you learn ^^ Personally the lower ban rate this MLG was a good sign. Less strain on the banlings/moderators and I think it's a good thing that on the whole the community seems to have improved at least on that count. There will always be hilariously poor post(ers) to point out, so lower banrate is fine imho.

Oh man that thread! Well I remember reading it posthumously, I think it was in Poke's hall of fame. What a classic :D And thanks, so glad to be back. I didn't realize this just now, but to point it out, every time I post I feel inclined to qualify my statements with "I think, I suppose, etc." to indicate that my opinion isn't absolute I guess, but also using first-person pronouns so much (which I do, case in point most of my posts lol) might make me come across as self-centered or narcissistic maybe? Random tangent, just happy to be back
