Re: Your offer of gamesmanship
By evidence previously presented, I have been wronged. Allowing a Bo9 to determine culpability would place us on an equal standing, which I cannot accept. It is regrettable that you do not wish to resolve this in an honourable manner. As a token of my dismay of your reticence to make restitution, please enjoy the basket of African Killer Bees that should be delivered to you shortly.
Good day

That guy should be fine fine because he does more than trash Japan and post shit about Samsung/LG.
Anyway, those monitors actually exist and actually do what they advertise*. During the time of that thread, Overclock.net was trying to gather support to convince some random Korean manufacturer to do a short run of these uber IPS monitors. I thought it was fair enough, people might be interested in them.
The major difference between affinity and the other guy is affinity shits and runs the minute he can't confuse people with jargon. In fact, that was the only reason I couldn't stand him. It happens every single time. In the PPI debate, the minute I brought up the Samsung pentile problem he left the thread.
* Depends on video card, pixel clock, and a whole lot of bullshit. As far as I know, only the GTX680 can actually reach 120hz full and you absolutely cannot do SLI if you want to push 120hz without losing signal/frames.
** Believe it or not, a few monitors can actually accept more than 60hz. For instance, the Fujitsu P23T-6 can accept 76hz maximum without losing signal or dropping frames.

The level of offence they take at stupid people being held accountable for bad posting is hilarious.

After your litigation in esports court I have no choice but to accept. However I will forever remember that you turned down a BO9.

Hadley_ was just banned by Harem.
That account was created on 2012-05-14 22:11:01 and had 157 posts.
Reason: 6-7 mod notes in 150 posts?
I don't think so, tim.
Happy dance

Honestly I've been really curious. I did some research but didn't find anything in his posts here. I may have to check the twits, tweets and reddit.

Even I don't know. I'm getting PBU vibes.
EDIT: It's possible that a factor was his record of really poor posting in the past.

Maybe micronesia just meant we doesn't need people who hypothetically would feel justified in stealing from tl if they could? I don't really get it otherwise.
|
Maybe he was wasting our time by being an awful poster and was thus 'stealing' our lives from us? Although PBU wouldn't surprise me.
edit: spelling

My understanding about Br3ezy's ban is that he got banned for trying to justify something that is morally wrong (i.e. stealing). I think the reasoning for the ban is similar to banning that guy who openly talked about how he helped develop Starcraft 2 drop hacks.

Note the last sentence.
My guess is that some mods feel like TL would be a better place without immoral people. I would agree with that notion.

Micronesia's definition of the "community" is really interesting. When he said that "we don't need people in our community who feel justified in stealing from us," I was unsure what he meant.
But if I owned a gas station, Br3ezy would feel justified in stealing from me. If I owned stock in Walmart, Br3ezy wouldn't feel bad about hurting my bottom line a little bit. There are probably people on TL for who those things are true. In a way, Micronesia's definition of the "community" goes beyond TL and into the broader world. And making that conceptual leap is an interesting exercise in morality, I think.

Or maybe if he feels justified in stealing from Walmart, he feels justified in stealing from TL. I'm not sure how he would do that, but the logic still fits.

I wish I thought of that.
