Also, if you're going to ban him for 90 days, why keep his stream featured? Is it because you still want the ad revenue coming in through from people that come here and click on Idra's stream?

Hello, all! It's become quite apparent that many of you are not reading the first post carefully. Failure to do so in the future will be met with swift punishment. And as always, remember to be civil. Thanks, Empyrean. Time stamp: 03:59 KST.

Bottom line [imo] - Of corse he doesn't regret his actions, why would he? No point in holding that against him TL. But since it's your forum, he won't change his behavior, he keeps doing stuff like this, etc. then I guess it's his own fault. But 90 days? wow.. you're going to ban him from streaming in the summer because of THIS? where sc could possibly get even more viewers consistently? seems a little much. I'd say 10 days but WOW. alll summer? holy crap... AND what about the fans? over doing it in my opinion, he's a staple for the community and for your website, maybe that shouldn't be overlooked Please don't take the name of a famous philosopher if you don't have an open mind. You should know by now that that he can stream as much as he wants, even as featured. Also, teamliquid doesn't need idras viewers, and SC doesn't need more viewers, it'll grow on it's own. And if you looked at his banhistory, I'd hope you'd change your mind.

Up until recently i didnt rate idra at all (after all the flames with HuK and such) and even when he said that if he got 20k viewers for that SOTG he'd be commentating on his stream, that seemed really big headed. But when i watched him stream, i just saw him in a different light and no longer thought he was just a good player who cried that zerg were massively underpowered, but that he was possibly the best foreigner ive ever seen play. How do you think he felt towards cruncher? cruncher who is obviously no where near as good as idra, im not flaming, its a fact, and yet he knocks him out? and puts a smiley? Personally, id go find cruncher and kick him in the head. And then for him to snipe him on his stream (which i have nothing against) but im pretty certain he had the sound on and was cheating. So cruncher gets all this attention about beating idra and people laughing at idra and whatver. Being a progamer, im not surprised that idra would be annoyed. Saying what he said was maybe slightly unacceptable, but he obviously just feels very passionately about it, even if it only a video game. Personally im on team idra. He does so much for the community - in terms of him having 2-3 times more viewers on his stream then anyone else, and being a crowd favourite at tournaments and whatever. I just dont agree with this ban, but can see why you justify it? if he goes bash cruncher in ladder does he get his sentence reduced for good behaviour :D So just beacuse you are passionate about the game you are allowed to say that someone is a "waste of life"? In any other sport you would be suspended for that kind of talk. Why should this be any different? + If you look at his banhistory he clearly deserves it.

Idra, in the same post, called him a "waste of life" and to "not give him attention[lol, the irony]". And so he was banned for 2 days. Omg, 2 days, that's like forever. Anyone, and I do mean anyone would have been banned for that if they had a posting history as bad as idra's. Doesn't change the fact that this is advocating active censur on opinions of persons or matters (false or true). The fact that you're advocating this for anyone doesn't improve on the matter. This is the type of censur and hierachy that conflicts coexisting controversial opinions about people and matters. It is a different matter when someone is verbally threatening someone else i.e if you don't do X then I will find you and kill you, but that was not the case here. I oppose this decision of banning someone who has always stated his opinion on matters from his subjective perspective without threatening anyone. From my perspective the vast majority of the mods, including Chill, are moronic clueless idiots that would have been happily wearing nazi symbols had they been born in Germany during WW2. Futhermore, I sincerely consider you, travis, solely based on your take on this matter, a little kid who used to be harrassed in school and now gets satisfaction from taking this on people stating their opinion. Now ban me, you waste of life. User was banned for this post.

Hate it or love it, polarizing personalities are great for publicity and I think TL recognizes that since they are still linking his stream. I personally, pride myself in not being such a douche, but entertainment is entertainment and I love a good laugh. As for the PM's to Chill, although I am assuming that a large number of PM's were distasteful, like someone mentioned above that is the nature of the beast but what bothers me most is that I have been robbed of a potential 90 days of potential nerd rage entertainment.

Do you not notice there's an advertisement on TL? Located near the top center of any part of the website? Canceling ads on idra's stream doesn't affect their website's ads now does it?

If you read the thread (which you didn't) multiple people say the ads won't effect teamliquid. Also, they don't need direct traffic ads, thats stupid, this site is gigantic and IdrA's not bringing anything to the table.
