IMPORTANT!!! READ THIS!!!

This is a StarCraft 2 Tournament

The first thing you do when you walk in is check-in with me! You MUST submit your buy-in (cash only) to complete check-in process I will be holding a blue clipboard and will direct you to where you need to go. It is vital that you remember who I am because I will be the main person managing the tournament as it goes.

All players must check in with me before they start their match as well as report the results to me after the match. That way I know when a match is in progress and know when a victor has emerged. If you report results for a game that I was did not know was in progress, the results will be scrapped and the series will be replayed

There are a lot of changes between this event and the last, make sure you know what is going on

Big News!!!
An anonymous person has offered an extra bonus prize for an achievement!
The players who win a series against last tournament's champion will be rewarded with $10 cash
+ Show Spoiler +
The player to win the best of 3 to put Pokebunny in the loser's bracket will be rewarded $10 cash,
The player to win the best of 3 to eliminate Pokebunny from the loser's bracket will be rewarded $10 cash

Do NOT be late
+ Show Spoiler +
Check-in ends around 12:45pm. Make sure you are checked in with me as soon as you come in. Anyone NOT checked in with me by 12:45pm will be dropped from the tournament and replaced. Everyone on the back-up list is recommended to show up because there are always people who are late and you guys are the ones who will be replacing them. Even if you don't get spot in the tournament it is still a great place and opportunity to meet new players and make friends.

READ THE RULES!
+ Show Spoiler +
if you are unsure of something, read the rules! Only come ask me after you have consulted the rules and still need clarification.
(There is nothing more annoying than a question that is already answered, read the god damn rules!)

Bring In-ear headphones
+ Show Spoiler +
Games will be casted and players in those games must wear noise canceling headsets that we provide. Players MUST bring their own in-ear headphones to wear with the provided headset to eliminate all spoilers of the match in progress.

Do Not Offensive GG
+ Show Spoiler +
Excessive BM and offensive gg'ing (gg'ing for your opponent) will result in a disqualification. No excuses, if you are reported for offensive gg'ing you will suffer the consequences.

Chat Channel
+ Show Spoiler +
Chat channel used will be 'Team Liquid New York'
Please join that channel when you arrive at cybercraft and get on a computer,
It will let us know you are at a computer, and will make it easy to PM you if we need you
It also helps to make general announcements

If you are having technical issues call one of the tournament hosts over and we will try to get things up and running as soon as possible

Edit: This post will be used as a reminders list, Check up on this frequently!!!

Decisions, decisions...should I play Random or Terran?
Also, food arrangements, that depends on how much everyone else is willing to eat.
Venture Capital is better off spent on lottery tickets rather than investing in E-Sports; you'll get a far better return. The difference is simple: Koreans are tryharding at the game, foreigners are tryharding in real-life.

nah, iccup would be preferred but it can be hard for some people to get practice on them
most ppl get their practice from laddering

so map pool is now just uses the blizzard ladder maps

I'm down. The logistics of the 2 day thing might be tough. Not to sound whatever but the bigger the prize pool the better if it's gonna be two day... I have to travel. Also I assume the buy in will contribute to a larger pool?

All that being said, last time was so much fun that even if the pool was 10$ I'd be there. Probably one of the best gaming experiences of my life.

Yessir, the buy-in is to help make the trip more worthwhile for a good amount of the players

On an unrelated note, still no zerg sign-ups...

Zergs are all gonna sign up as one. The great and all knowing overmind instructs us to sign up en mass in order to lul the feeble terran and protoss into a false sense of security!

Or they just didn't see the thread yet, your choice.
