Stuff like that is judged on a case by case basis. This thread, by nature, is idle conversation, and questions like you're asking now, about appropriate posting, are never bad, if they aren't veiled attacks.

He got a warning over "giving advice" to a guy telling him to just get the biggest, cheapest power supply he could afford. The warning tipped him off so much he went on a rampage making a thread, posting in several places how offended he is about this, and that he is a person that is respected in many other online communitys.
Though, noone responded because it was a warning of a miniscule comment.
He was a nice guy for making that one GUI relocalizer, i guess the ego caught up to him to leave.

I must say that is crazy. I guess the mods wanted him to be more specific (What kind of computer should I get? The best and cheapest one!)
