Ever thought of implementing something like that? Or do they already exist and the search I did didn't find them? They wouldn't be very well hidden if you could search for them, would they? I didnt mean like that lol. Basicly I use to play paintball and teams on one of the forums had their own little forum area so you could see that team X had a private area but you couldn't read what was in it. There are a number of mod forums and niche forums that you can't see by default (I assume there's some kind of account permissions system), but I don't know of any forums you can see but can't access, except for the closed threads.
ah guess I did my search wrong then

Also i know why we can't inject style types and devs (lol) into our posts but ive seen things like [cen ter] that are not on the smilies and BBCode page and i want to make super sexy posts. Can we submit "drafts" to have code approved or something? Allowing HTML sounds like a terrible idea.
You can submit changes to the BBCode. For example, I seem to remember we never had [hr] before, but now we do!

I just want to make things pretty Good to know about the line break tho.

Other than the owners, I believe we have three full-time staff who are paid a salary by teamliquid. I don't know if it's okay to release their names but you can probably figure it out.
Occasionally, when we run a big event, there is sponsor money included in the budget to cover staff members' time.
Outside of that, all staff are volunteers.

Chill have you ever seen that guy named Chillgetout on ladder?

Does anyone have a URL to that topic about these members that were banned on the site because they left someone behind from an event, 4 hours away from their home?
I need it for something I'm concocting, but I can't remember for the life of me, the name or the topic's placement.

Perfect, thanks! Has this ever happened before?

Man, people can be arseholes.
On a lighter and somewhat related note: I remember a thread about one of the mods accidently getting left at the airport. Do you have the link? It was ages ago...
Edit: Spelling and clarity

What happened to the user "Insane"'s icon?

It has been like that for a while. I assume their is some history behind it, given how long he has been here. I have just come to accept that some things will never be known...

Apologies if this has already been asked.
Would it be possible to implement a "search within a thread" function? I think it would help figure if something was already discussed within a big thread.
Secondly, do mods/admin prefer to be treated like normal posters, or would they prefer for people to talk more safely around/with them as a sign of deference?

I'll address the second question first: I should be addressed as "sir" at all times.
As to your first question, try the search content feature, narrowing the search down to the forum in which the thread you're interested in is located, and then look through the results.

Sir, If i may suggest using ctrl+f to happyft, sir.

Whenever I PM a moderator I always end the first PM with thank you for your time. Chances are they don't know me from the other 2000 users online. It doesn't hurt to be polite.
Sadly, is one of the most repulsive things I'm yet to see on TL. Though the time for being surprised has long since past in my life, I still feel the outrage of youthful naivete that people can say things out loud and still not realize what a terrible fuck idea it is.
I just had to say that so I could get it out of my head.

yeah what a story. glad they are gone. I hope TL keeps the respect it has earned as the ranks get swollen.
