 Serious question: Could you name a few really stand-out posters who have not yet received a star (which seems to be out of fashion nowadays), blue fill for strategy forums or any sort of staff privileges? I'm not talking progamers who post every now and then I mean that one random guy who just posts solid gold all the time! | ||

I'm new here but I've been reading the news and tips on this site for a long, long time. You all seem like a swell bunch of layed back people who know their game and you do write quality stuff that really opens your eyes. But I'm a bit of a rebell and I'm curious if I will fit in here without going down the slippery slope of warnings and bans. As soon as I read the main thread with the rules I felt like as if I didn't know anything about this place since before I'd think you're all a bunch assholes. I mean starting a welcome/rule tread with "This is our house, you obide by our rules or we will BAN you and KICK You and NUKE your posts...and fucking rape your mother"... You know. Obviously the last part wasn't there but whats up? Yes we are guests but do you welcome your guests this way? I'm kinda sick of people treating their online community like shit. So I'm basically just curious if this just the general whooping everyone get and then stuff floats on smoothly or if it is quite the strict place as it is portrayed. Really, though, if you're interested in Ban List history, go check out Stimey or Raithed. Tdot is not interesting in the slightest; he's just a really bored guy who thinks he's trolling everyone on TL by making accounts that get banned immediately while everybody in the MiR forum laughs at him. You make it sound like the mods are entitled to be jerks to whomever they want. Really, just don't be stupid or rude and you'll be fine in this community. Yes, this is not your house, nor mine. This is the house of Liquid, and if you want to stay here, you have to abide by certain rules. If I invited you into my house, on the condition that you remove your muddy shoes before going inside, and you barge in running all over the place with despicable dirty shoes, then I'll kick you out of my house. It's the same deal. I don't know why you make the sentence "... abide by our rules or we will BAN you..." because that's how literally EVERY community works, online or not. The Ten Commandments are just being blunt about it, which isn't a bad thing. Overall, TeamLiquid is NOT a strict place if you're not retarded and/or hostile to everybody. The idiots and jerks get banned pretty quickly because they don't care about the rules, and those are the kinds of people that we don't care for here. It's not hard to be a good poster here. All you need to do is think before you post, ask yourself "Am I contributing with this post or thread?", and be courteous. Do those things, and your stay at TL will be a blast! | ||

And yeah you should follow the rules of a community. But usually you catch up on those as you go on or you read the it at least a bit further down the welcome letter  Anyway glad to be part of a legendary arena. A bit of a poker player to so I might see you there if there's some good offer I haven't tried out yet. | ||
