I find it incredibly hard to maintain a diet without any form of potatoes/rice/bread. I've been eating decent ammounts of it, always whole-grain (the complex carbs! ), and losing plenty of weight. I do have to note that I mostly eat these complex carbs in the morning/afternoon surrounding my workout, and always combined w/ a proteine and fat source as well. I never eat them past dinner (usually bread for breakfast/lunch and rice or sweet potatoes for dinner). It's much more convenient to make a varying diet with these products. It might not be ideal, but it should still be doable to maintain a healthy lifestyle and get in good shape also when using these products, especially when combined w/ a steady workout routine. Even though I am obese and for me it will be much easier to lose weight for a while then some ripped kid who weighs 160 lbs and wants to cut to 150, I hope I never have to stop using these foods completly.
you might not become mr olympia 2015 if you can't skip out on the grain carbz, but who here wants that anyway?

Maybe i missunderstand you but potatoes arent good complex carbs for a fatloss diet neither rice (standard white rice) and bread (standard white bread). But maybe you're talking about brown rice and brown bread , in its instance it's totally find. Anyway, good luck with your diet.

It's hard because you're not used to eating a lot of fruits/vegetables with your meats/oils/nuts/fish/etc. instead of bread/potatoes/rice.
Whatever works though. If your goal is losing weight and you are doing fine with that stuff keep going for it. I have just been trying to promote the more "healthier" side of the thread recently.

Have sort of a weird situation. In my home, we're struggling now and I don't control the food we buy what so ever. All my parents buy is basically crap, and the food they make for meals isnt any healthier. We do have some fruit and what not. Anyway the point is, I always get energy crashes, I'm sure due to my diet eating lots of bad food. I don't eat anything totally horrific just..like white bread, processed foods etc. Not like candy or sweets or anything. And I also find myself eating even if I'm not hungry cause its been 3-4 hours since I ate and I usually feel like shit after. Then yesterday I decided fuck it, I'm not anything eating bad or when I'm not hungry. So all I ate all day was like..apple juice, couple cans of fruit and a big bowl of grapes. And I felt great. Energy was high, no crashes, no nothing. I'm just wondering if this is okay. I didn't really feel hungry at all but maybe it just isnt healthy to eat that little?

Well, too many high GI carbs will cause you to crash a lot. Sugar gets quickly absorbed into your body, and then body spikes insulin to counter that. It produces a bit too much insulin and actually depresses your sugar level a bit. The high spike of sugar leads to the rush -- and then the depressed sugar level leads to the crash.
Obviously, the way you're eating is a bit better. Just make sure you get enough protein and decent fat sources. Milk and eggs are always great. I'm not sure how much of your budget can be spent on meats.. but definitely try to get some more good proteins from there.
Veges are pretty cheap (relatively). Don't just eat all fruit.. fruit is more high GI than veges and can cause you to crash as well.

That made a HUGE difference with my deadlift Yeah i dont have any chalk. I should definitely get some. I definitely had it if it wasn't for it slipping out. Wrist wraps would have been ez pz. i also used too much back...should have started out with more legs 100% sure you will get it with chalk, adds a lot of stability if you don't have to worry about the bar slipping away. Go get some. And if you are in a commercial gym take a small wet towel with you to clean up, or they get mad Yeah...no commercial gym for me this summer. I just hoping to use my old high school gym as much as i can because the only commercial gym within 20 min of me pretty much has 0 free weights with 0 squat rack and a no dead lift/bent over row policy. FUCK YOU PLANET FITNESS
rofl Those places can all get bombed. Social clubs with treadmills and televisions responsible for the downfall of the fitness industry.

Outside Free weights seem so awsome. I have to go to a commercial gym and listen "lady gaga" while air stinks cause of so many people doing spinning throughout the day. Not best enviroment to deadlift = (

It will however be over 100 degrees, but fuck I hate gym music and lifting outside just feels better.

What are your goals again? Height/weight/lift numbers?
In general I'd say go for compounds. If there's any type of pullup bar you can use that extensively as well as the free weights with the bench. Lots of stuff you can do, but it depends a lot on what you want to do with your goals and current ability.

So I have come to the stark realization that my fitness at rugby tryouts for the midwest team was absolutely awful and need to improve my endurance. At the same time I also want add size and mass by the end of the summer. Should i stick to a strength plan like 5x5 combined with endurance running/HIIT or switch to something like 3x12 reps in addition to the running?
Some goals for the summer (i.e. by mid august) are: Single digit BF% 5:30-6:00 Mile 425-445 Squat 445+ Deadlift 285-305 Bench As well as increasing overall sprint and agility speed and rugby skills Lofty goals but not unreasonable and i will be really happy if i reach all of these.
Went shopping today at Costco and got a ton of the following: 15 lbs Boneless Skinless Chicken, 24 Sirloin Burgers (yum), Carrots, Corn, Apples, Whole Wheat bread + pasta, peanutbutter, yogurt, turkey bacon and 90 eggs. Tried to grab organic shit where i could, and not quite ready to go full bore healthy but i feel like this diet + actually doing a decent amount of cardio should be enough to drop 3-4% more body fat in 3 months.

decaf -- lift 2x a week, and start doing more running 2-3x a week. I would do a mix of HIIT and endurance stuff for Rugby.
It's fine to stick with something like 5x5 although you may feel yourself too taxed with the volume especially if you're doing a lot of running (hiit/endurance work). May need to cut back to like 3x5-12 or anywhere in that range.

hey guys
does anyone have any feedback about Flex Factor and Cleanse Ultra?
I can only find propaganda on google, not a single user feedback I can trust.
please, just answer if you have already used it or if you know someone who did.
I will ask for a doctor about those when I get the chance.
thanks!

I've never heard of them which is probably not a good thing.
If you can post an ingredient list we can go over it to figure out if it's solid or not.

Rofl.
Stay the fuck away from shit like this. I don't have the energy to list everything that's wrong with this stuff. If you really wanna take supplements for muscle-growth (which, besides protein-shakes you probably shouldn't) there are good forums where this stuff is discussed in depth and you don't rely on some third-hand information and the opinion of a doctor who probably doesn't know the product you are talking about. But really, stay away from roids and magic pills.
Offtopic: as far as I know these "combine these two products, they are both free" kind of adds work this way: The products are delivered for two weeks for free, but In the terms of conditions you agree to get the product for four weeks, having to pay at least the last two weeks.
