i was injured though around a year ago and lost my muscles and gained alot of fat, im no longer in a combat unit and i just find myself trying to go back to a healthy lifestyle. so although the best way to lose weight fast is join up it can kinda backfire ![]() im 6.2 and weigh 90 kilos, i dont have any other goal but exchange some fat tissue into muscle tissue, and my mother's a nutritionist so she will guide me to her harsh natural eating habits which i will obviously diverge from occasionally. alright its 3AM and ill start right now by jogging for an hour or so... awesome initiative, thank you for the links and encouragement ![]()

But yeah it's a healthy physique alright That's what a balanced physique looks like pretty much. :p I know looks are very important but strenght is even more important since it's actually useful and extremely beneficial in sports and activities. If you can not bench, deadlift, or squat 1.5 times your body weight quit worrying about your god damn abs. :p But then again, everyone has different goals so do what you want. ![]() On April 20 2010 00:15 Danka wrote: alright thanks. But i dont want to work with weights. I mean sure ok, ill use small ones to start off.. but what I WANT is a flexible healthy body, and to build muscle using my own body weight. Im short so getting thick will make me look stalky. Im still a long way away from worrying about being too built, so ill do the compound lifts. Thanks for the tip. Good man! ![]() I, like you didn't want to start weight training. I've always been skinny and finally decided to do something about it. If I just ate more food without exercising I'd gain fat and look like crap so I didn't really have a choice but to start training. I didn't really look forward to going to the gym, but after the very first session, I was hooked! Such a great way to relieve stress and burn energy which is few of the many reasons I do it! Always keep challenging yourself. Just start with the basic barbell and bodyweight exercises (it doesn't have to be Mark Rippetoe's Starting Strenght) and eat well (diet is just as important as exercise). Seeing results is what will keep you going forward and it only takes 3 hours of your week! ![]()

I've probably made at least 10 posts on this now but... http://www.eatmoveimprove.com/2009/10/a-closer-look-at-vitamin-d/ The short answer is vitamin D upregulates anti-microbial peptides such as cathelicidin, defensins 1 and 2, and increases t-lymphocyte production.

Thn shoot them over to me either here or PM: http://www.eatmoveimprove.com/2010/02/so-you-hurt-your-lower-back/ ok just checked out the link. from what i can tell, the pain is definitely muscular and it's somewhere around the erector spinae (if not the erector spinae itself). it doesn't hurt anymore but i have a feeling that if i do back extensions again the pain will be back. it just seems like whenever i lift stuff off the floor, that part of my back (right side btw) seems to take all the load.

Try to get some deep tissue massage and see if that helps loosen stuff up. And do reverse hypers instead. See if those help (e.g. you can do them). It's likely a strain if it's in the erectors in whcih case stuff from here should help too: http://www.eatmoveimprove.com/2010/01/on-muscle-strains/ Site should be back up this evening btw.

because not that it isn't badass, but your upper legs are just like hilariously big compared to your lower legs. (maybe that's normal physique for big muscles though?)

My training routine consists mostly of just bench, military press, squat, and deadlift/clean, pull ups. I do some other crap here and there... but that's the bread and butter.

On an unrelated topic, today I decided to throw in a few sets of bench press just because I was bored after doing legs (aka, my legs were fucked and I didn't want to walk the kilometer back to my room yet). My one rep max has apparently gone from 225 to 265 over the course of..two days. I'm kinda pumped.
