Medusa - Mana shield description - "an access amount of mana" is a typo; should be "excess"?

idk how that changes anything? you were going to build manta and midas on the hero anyways and those are bug fixes that make the dota 2 behavior consistent with dota 1 so it shouldnt change the build

Those are all parity changes, and any knowledge about the hero is based on DotA 1 to begin with.

A manta first morphling build hit 1 million. That's actually disgusting. I swear he wasn't manta first the last time I looked at that guide.
I am strongly of the opinion that Linkens -> eblade is still standard. Regardless, manta first is awful on heroes not called PL, especially ranged ones.

This seems like a problem of the core/situational/extension items system where you're more likely to buy Manta at all than the situational items, but will almost always buy ONE of the situational items FIRST.
|
I still don't think I'd ever buy manta after BKB or Linkens. You have 10-12k gold into items and like 2k worth of damage with that progression, and you probably don't even need the dispel if you have one of the others. Manta is like 3rd item minimum.
I guess it can be first if you screwed up your progression and their qop gets orchid when you have a casual yasha or something, but at that point you're not doing a build you're trying to save a trainwreck.

I mean the fundamental problem is that Morph is one of those heroes that doesn't really buy the same items every game, and Manta's probably the closest thing to an item Morph buys reasonably often.
TBH Morph's one of those heroes that I wouldn't want guide-level players to get anywhere near lol.

I don't like the situational items on Morphling and would prefer different ones in Situational (maybe Black King Bar and Aghs) and start separating Extension items into Luxury + Extension.
If Manta Style is a buy-first or buy never thing, then either his core needs to be dictated to the style preferred or simply throw Manta Style is situation with a note specifying its timing.
