Intellimouse Explorer or else you're a sucker. Have fun with pixel skipping if you want a reasonable sensitivity at a reasonable resolution in SC2.

Pixel skipping becomes annoying when you have to triple the sensitivity of your mouse. Also, trying to use 450 CPI on the desktop is not fun. If all I ever did was play QL, then yes it would be a very nice mouse, but I don't.

Bought a MX518, right mouse button broke after half a year, lost the stuff necessary for warranty, so, duh. Opened it up to see if I can maybe fix it, noticed it looks nearly identical to MX500 inside. I kept my MX500 since only the cable was broken, so I tried to exchance the circuit boards with the mousebutton triggers, and oh wonder, it actually worked. And still does, since 5 years. Just love that shape.

not that I use those, I keep it at maxed anyway. I went to a LAN tournament and someone tried using my mouse at my sensitivity settings..... he was like WTF MAN. Kinda funny.

Now my hand rests in a palm grip but when playing Stacraft 2 my palm comes off the mouse into a claw/fingertip grip as you mentioned. Since I started using it I have been extremly satisfied with the mouse, it makes my deathadder generations 1 & 2 look cheap and fisherprice like in comparison. It does not feel cheap, the death adder around the thumb buttons has a cheap glossy plastic that is obviously done for visual appeal the xai isn't given any radical LEDs or shiny plastics. The only thing the deathadder had that I enjoyed is the feel of the scroll wheel but for Starcraft 2 the ammount of scroll wheel scrolling that is done is minimal. At the same time the scrollwheel steelseries makes is quite excellent its just not as big, which may be better once you get used to it. I like the Ikari because its made just for right hand users, xai is amidexterous which I am not a huge fan of because unless I plan on getting my right hand chopped off it is sort of meaningless. I love the shit out of it however. Another thing I noticed about the xai is that my hand doesn't heat up using it for a long time, or rather it doesn't sweat. The mouse doesn't have tons of lights in it and the screen on the bottom it does have you can turn off or disable the brightness. Razer mice make my hands sweat even when the lights are turned off. Give me more details and I can probably help you out. Thanks for the description Carefoot ![]() The thing is, I've been using Logitech G1, and then G3 for 3 years, now I've got the G500(which is a great mouse don't get me wrong) but it's to bulky for my grip, can't seem to adjust to it...So I was wondering if the SSXai would be the way to go since my hand also raises from the mouse and I have a claw/fingertip grip. I compared the measurements of G3 and Xai and they're not very different, but until I hold one I can't really tell...

![]() Was using an MX518 'till the middle mouse button broke, same thing happened with the g7 before it... Guess it's just the platform. Took it because it was pretty much the best on the ESReality chart and I had to replace my mx - I use that button a LOT in blender. It's a bit smaller/heavier than the MX/G7 - the weight was a major bugger at fist but after a few weeks you get used to it (warsow rulez). Otherwise.... 1000hz polling, responsive keys (easy to press, not too easy), insane perfect control speed, no prediction firmware, runs w/o drivers flawlessly... Can't really imagine anything more that I'd need for gaming ![]()
