Yea for streaming and scr you dont need much at all.
Have you tried nvenc encoding in obs with 1660Ti? It releaves the cpu from stress as 1660Ti got dedicated nvenc chip for streaming.
What you need: 6 core minimum, psu 600w tops, B450 board (still see no reason paying more for X570 mobo than cpu unless way cheaper and not a crap board which is highly unlikely). M.2 SSD recommended to use its speed. 3200mhz ram 16GB.
And as a final word. When you see something cheap, be sceptical and YT/google reviews. You dont wanna come home with something very old or crap.
Edit: response to your edit. Both those SSDs are great. Only thing stopping is your budget. You dont need pci4.0 for max speed M.2 as your SSD will rarely run max speed. For regular use you wont see a difference except when copying a file but that will take seconds anyway for big files. What you do is just pay a heavy premium for a few secs time saved. Imo not worth it unless you do content creation.
If you got a hefty budget you could max it all out. But there will be heavy diminishing returns.
MOBO: tomahawk max or pro carbon ac B450 CPU: 3700x SSD: 860 EVO or MX500 (1 or 2 TB) HDD: Crucial/WD/Toshiba PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus/Corsair RMX (650W pref) RAM: 3200C14/3600C15/3600C16 Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 or Dark Rock Pro 4 GPU: GTX 1660 Ti Case: w/e

for X570 MOBOs i was planning to go by this (so Asrock X750 Taichi/Gigabyte X570 Aorus Ultra):
So i should be aiming for B450 + 3700x (SATA SSD here) and X570 + 3900x (M.2 SSD here to take advantage of PCIE 4.0)? I dunno much about M.2 SSD's, i prefer having a lot of space on my SSD and the benchmarks shown here show good value for 2TB 860 EVO/MX500:
You can get the M.2 and load programs on it to execute faster (can be done with typical SSD as well) and store files on the HDD. That way, you can save some money. I got my 500GB M.2 for 89$ USD and then a 2TB internal hdd for 50$ USD. Every program I load take less than 5 seconds to open.
That fan looks massive as hell! I hope you have clearance to put that literal baby in there. The stock 3700x works fine for me and I do some heavy rendering on Cinema 4D + VRay.
In the end, you'll have to go with what makes sense for you and your budget and what you are wanting to accomplish.
I'm on the lookout for a decent gaming chair this week. Any recs?

Chairs are tough to rec, it varies from person to person (mostly comes down to posture). I have a Steelcase Leap V2 and love it, my friend has a Herman Miller Aeron and loves it.. i'm personally not a big fan of it .
There arent that many good B450 boards to choose from. I would go with either tomahawk max or pro carbon ac. The latter got the best features (intel lan, great audio chip, wifi, spdif) and heatsinks. Both OC very good though.

If you're committing to buying a computer, I'd pick up the 3800x now. It's literally cheaper than a 3700x for bf in canada.
Msi Tomahawk max b450 is my default recommendation since it ticks pretty much all the "good enough" boxes, and even if you don't get the max, it has bios flashback so all you need is a usb drive.
Buildzoid already did all the legwork if you want to explore every other option up or down the price scale that's available to you.
So back to the chair thing. What are some decent brands that you all have heard of or have tested out? I'm not dropping 400$+ on a chair, so anything in the 100-200 range is preferable. I looked on craigslist and got nothing. Tried facebook marketplace and struck out. Nix that. I just checked and saw this for 80$. Should be worth it.
Depends. You can get some really good ergonomic or orthopaedic office chairs for £250-300 (converts to about $250-$300 nowadays since in UK we pay 20% VAT) nowadays which is around what some of these "gaming chairs" are going for. Which is what I guess you are going for. They are not really built for leaning back and relaxing like "gaming chairs" can do. Office chair are more of built so you can work on a keyboard without RSI.
Gaming chairs, even though they look utterly ridiculous, are actually based on heavy duty surveillance/control room chairs where they are expect to be sat on for 24hrs. Heavy foam. You can practically sleep in it. Actual professional heavy duty chairs cost $500+ so gaming chairs are actually good value for money in that respect.
Personally I'll go visit a computer shop website with a good reputation. I use www.scan.co.uk and www.overclockers.co.uk, but obviously you want to use your own local websites. I wouldn't buy a chair for under $150 unless secondhand. Might seem expensive but even in the modern age of IKEA, good furniture is expensive.
Okay...80$ for a chair? That seems suspiciously cheap if it isn't second hand. I'll wouldn't buy it if it isn't from a reputable brand. And if it is, that arm rest looks degraded already.
The chair is secondhand. I'm going Sunday to check it out and if it's right, I'll get it. I'm not looking for something really expensive at the moment, just something that will work in the meantime. The armrest isn't too big of a worry (can always be replaced/mended).
so ive been going trough the whole thing and feel sorta ready to upgrade during the sales on black friday and cyber monday, im not really set on what to buy and would love some good suggestions on what i should be looking to buy for my upgrades.
all of it is built in an old offbrand case, will provide measures when i can (probably in an hour or 2).
What is your monitor's native resolution?
1920x1080 , im also looking to go into a dual monitor setup with two of these same monitors
Why do you want to upgrade? What do you want to achieve with the upgrade?
overall it just feels like the hardware is falling behind, and im looking to play most newer tittles on high with stable FPS, and just get as good of an upgrade as possible with my budget tbh.
What is your budget?
around 1300 USD
What country will you be buying your parts in?
ill be buying my stuff online from Colombia
If you have any brand or retailer preferences, please specify.

Waiting to see if the 3900x is going on sale first, i'm getting it if it does.
Yeah i ordered a 3900x at launch and just got it this week at MSRP, nearly half a year later. Other stores have been selling above MSRP when they're not out of stock. If you can get one at MSRP with the 2 games offer that's better than i've ever seen so don't be holding out for a discount!
Thinking a bit about it today, i'm gonna make a system update blog to document my current benchmarks, expectations & new testing results. Will probably have a lot of it done over the next week or so.
