I built machine way back in 2011 in one of the older threads on TL.net (old thread here). Just looking to upgrade a few things. Mainly just get new GFX card, maybe a new processor? Depends on compatibility, as I am really unsure on what I need;

What is your monitor's native resolution? currently 1920x1080
Why do you want to upgrade? What do you want to achieve with the upgrade? Currently run dota 2, maxed out but starting to get a little sluggish. Considering purchasing F1 2016 and some other higher spec games. Don't think my machine would run them so great.
What is your budget? Unsure, depends on what all needs upgrading. If its just gfx card, maybe a couple hundred. I don't really know how much I need to spend. I am not looking for the most recent only released last week card. Just looking a decent upgrade.
What country will you be buying your parts in? UK

aren't 960 and 1060 equivalent tiers? will their price be same in the future or will 1060 always be expensive?

They are both 60 series cards but pascal is being launched at a higher price point than maxwell. So barring any sales, the 1060 would always be more expensive than the 960. And it would be a while before it drops down to the $200 launch price of the 960.

They are roughly
I don't expect big drops for a while, AMD might cut prices when they release mid-high end stuff

Hi there. I'm trying to build my first ever self-build computer. Here's what I put together after researching... I'm German so all prices come from German websites. My main questions are: 1) Does all this work together well? 2) Would you change parts? 3) Where can I safe money? Can you find better deals for the parts? 4) Is it worth waiting for a better deal for the RX480? 5) Is this Windows deal a valid one and does this work with a USB stick to install Windows?

You'll want a different power supply. My standard recommendation in Europe w/o checking for sales is to look for an XFX 450w. That'll be much better than what you have. Though the XFX isn't modular. Also if you tend to save a lot of video (TV series, movies) to your HDD, you may want a larger storage HDD.
Looks good overall, though I didn't examine the build in detail, so if you're not already doing so, I might wait a night to see if anyone else chimes in.

You should probably get 2 RAM sticks, not 1 - CPU memory controller is dual channel so there is 2x as much bandwidth when using two sticks and it affects performance notably in some games and programs. I would personally get an SSD from a more well known brand as well - don't know about the rx480 pricing

Well, I did it! I was waiting for a GTX 1060 / RX 480 with aftermarket cooler, and as soon as the Asus Geforce GTX 1060 DUAL OC edition became available, I pulled the trigger.
Took me quite a few hours, but right now I am writing this on my new gaming computer I played some Witcher 3 yesterday and it looks great. I still have some overclocking I want to do, but I'll do that sometime soon whenever I feel like it.
Thanks for the support guys!
EDIT: Oh, one question actually: My Corsair LPX 3200 RAM came with a weird mountable fan. I had no place in the case for it (huge CPU cooler), so I just skipped it. The RAM is currently operating at 2400, but I wonder what will happen if I start overclocking it. Am I going to need that fan?

Thanks MisterFred and Cyro, I changed some parts after your answers. Btw, I don't need a bigger HDD.

Still got some questions: 1) Is it worth waiting for a better deal for the RX480? 2) What would be your prefered company for the video card? XFX, Sapphire, Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, PowerColor? Something else? 3) Is this Windows deal a valid one and does this work with a USB stick to install Windows?

@Borealis I wouldn't expect 480 pricing to change soon. It may be worth waiting for a non-reference card, as it will likely be somewhat quieter. Preferred company - not really. Sapphire tends to be popular with AMD, but I don't anticipate a large difference between the performance of the various non-reference cards. Occasionally that turns out to not be true, however. None of the companies has a bad reputation. 470 should be a good card without all that much drop off from 480 performance if that's easier to find.
Dunno on Windows. Any Windows product key should work with a USB installation though. Also, be sure to install the 64-bit version of windows (I assume that's still a thing on Win10).
Also, don't know on motherboard.

Could get anything but for all of these cards you should be keeping a close eye on the performance per euro and if the extra VRAM will help you much. It's a bit of a trap to buy the greatest of the low end to midrange cards, though it's also not neccesarily great to buy the cheapest one on the shelf. If you can find a few youtube videos that show the sound of the cooler then that's nice.
There's a powercolor rx470 for 1.228x lower price than that reference rx480 for example - http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/4096MB-PowerColor-Radeon-RX-470-Red-Devil-Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16--Retail-_1115772.html - and this specific card has a lot of reviews up on youtube

Don't need z170 mobo (others available around half that price) - there's not much future proofing to be done by paying here. Any drop-in CPU upgrade would also work on a cheaper motherboard, the main feature of Z170 is overclocking for the CPU's and RAM that can do it.
don't need 850 pro, can get an evo or another cheaper SSD for quite a bit less (850 evo is ~28 euros less)
can get a case much cheaper than 116 euros
can get a decent PSU much cheaper than 87 euros (this one is 46.52 - http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/450-Watt-XFX-Core-Edition-V2-Non-Modular-80--Bronze_759250.html ) - power consumption of a system like this is VERY small, like 50 watts under load

Has anyone installed the latest big update for Windows 10? I've noticed a few games are not as optimal as before. I have the latest NVIDIA drivers. It will probably fix itself with updates in the future, but just wondering if anyone else has the same problem.

any of those ekl or bequiet tower coolers on sale at mindfactory for 20-30 euro look fine. just make sure the reviews say it's quiet and it's under 157mm height (the limit for your case).

@Shield
DX12 runs notoriously poorly on NVIDIA cards. There's a chance that your games were previously using DX11, but the update changed that to run on DX12, which would account for the loss of performance (NVIDIA only, AMD does great with DX12).
I'd double-check all those settings.
