Edit: ohhhh, this psu has ports to plug the cables into... I will try it AH! so what you have is called a "modular" PSU. Basically, your PSU came with a bunch of OPTIONAL cables rather than having all the cables plugged in. This way, any unnecessary cables you don't have to plug into your PSU and they won't clutter up your case. Check your PSU's manual for how to attach the modular cables. By default, your PSU just has the cables for the motherboard attached (usually; some are fully modular), and you can attach more following the directions for your PSU. You're probably familiar with the non-modular PSUs that are more common where all cables are always attached on the PSU end. Basically, check out your PSU for holes you're supposed to plug cables into. they should be labelled, or there should be a manual detailing them.

Edit: I tried plugging a monitor into each of the gpu slots... I don't see a slot on the mobo to try. Where should my gpu be plugged in?

Edit: I tried plugging a monitor into each of the gpu slots... I don't see a slot on the mobo to try. Hmm, usually there's a slot of SOME sort on the mobo. Can you take a photo? Also for troubleshooting: check that you have power going to the CPU power connector, and your mobo power connector. Check that your video card is fully seated. Check that your RAM is fully seated. The first thing I'd suspect is issues with your video card connection or something, so maybe plugging into your mobo is the way to go. Almost all mobos have VGA/DVI these days This is your mobo right (assuming you're using the same parts list)? See that red slot beneath the two USB ports, just to the left of the blue USB 3.0 ports? That's HDMI on your mobo. Try using that. EDIT: you can put your GPU into the first PCIe slot, outlined here:

So, it could be tehre's a problem detecting or using your GPU. Try putting it in a different PCIe slot. Also, check to make sure your monitor is working-- is it on the right input? Can you try it with another slot? If you have an existing desktop, try transplanting the old GPU from that in. Does that cause things to work?

The monitors were working earlier today. The gpu worked earlier today in my old pc. Hmm, ok. So we know the GPU is good, and we know the monitor is good. We've tried several slots on unseated/reseated the GPU so we know the plugging-in is working fine. Other things this could be: 1. Defective mobo with broken PCIe slots 2. something in like the bios keeps on trying to output video to the wrong place?? 3. you're somehow repeatedly seating the gpu incorrectly, or the monitor is off or something 4. the computer isn't actually posting, so we expect the screen to be black actually-- maybe the mobo is having a problem, the RAM isn't seated properly, the cpu isn't on your mobo, or some other issue. However, given that your computer actually has spinning fans, this may not be the case. 5. Some other problem?? maybe the connection is bad somehow, or there's not enough power going to your GPU or something?? Tryin hitting F2 or whatever as you boot up to open BIOS might help I feel like this would be easier to diagnose if you had a mobo graphics port-- maybe Cyro or someone else has better ideas.

What's your CPU? Do you have a parts list somewhere? Do you get any beeps when turning the PC on?

Same scenario where it turns on and you see/hear all the fans, hdds etc turning on, but no beep codes even w/ a motherboard speaker and no picture with video card or IGPU. Here's the supported CPU list: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/X99 Extreme4/?cat=CPU You'll note at the top 6 CPUs that don't work until the BIOS revision is >= P1.60: E5-4669 v3(C1) Haswell-EP 2.1GHz

ASRock X99 Extreme4 i7-5820k GeForce GTX 750 Ti Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo NZXT Phantom Ripjaws gskill ddr4 4x8mb Still not sure why I get no beep... I have the little speaker plugged in to chassis speaker header (speaker1) as per mobo installation guide edit: my cpu is on that list so what do I need to do exactly?

To me, the lack of beep indicates it's not actually reaching the POST step. Give us pictures of the motherboard installed in the case so we can verify what's plugged in.

Make sure your computer doesn't short circuit somewhere, a common problem is to have too many standoffs where one is touching the actual motherboard. I'm guessing you have the CPU power connector installed as well, it could be modular and you just forgot about it, it's larger 8-pin one near the CPU. Also what Craton said, just take a picture of your stuff and post it here just in case.. + Show Spoiler +

I had a tech take a look inside my comp and he didn't find anything wrong with it. He did comment the location of the chassis speaker is odd. Here are photos:
