Thanks so much ![]() On December 14 2013 09:57 iTzSnypah wrote: Don't get a 1GB 7850...Trust me, I have one. Just get a 2GB 7790/260X, still more GPU than you need. There's another I found as well, though I'm not sure how good it is since I know I don't really need that much ASUS Radeon HD 6670

I pretty much only visit the LoL parts of the forum, but shit, so many parts of the site are amazing. But maybe I am missing something. If I were you, I would either do (1) as SkyR says, (2) buy a 1GB 7790 for ~$120 now, (3) get the one I posted. Edit: Fully agree that the 7850 is overkill for your needs, but still prefer 7850/1GB @ 150-30MIR to 7790/2GB @ ~150

the prices for their 2gb isnt far off, and its pretty much worth the price. in addition, a GPU can last some 5 years or more. Id rather buy a good one now and save up more and keep using it, instead of just buying a decent card and end up having to upgrade it soon.

1) (this one is due to curiosity,) for the psu, which direction did u guys put it in? fan side down or up? i decided to put it up for the extra cooling. 2) also, now that i look at my power supply, the switch was on all this time, (guessing it was shipped like that), would that cause any issues?

So tell me why an unpowered switch being on would affect the PSU during shipping...

That being said it is generally better to have the PSU intake air from outside the case rather than inside the case as it is cooler. So tell me why an unpowered switch being on would affect the PSU during shipping... for the PSU, i decided to just keep the fan upward since in my case i dont have any other cooling for my system other than the ones it comes with, for the On switch thing, just making sure. found it odd that its been on the on position all this time

for the psu, which direction did u guys put it in? fan side down or up? i decided to put it up for the extra cooling. That doesn't make sense - if it's mounted at bottom and pointed down, it's sucking air into it from under the case. If it's pointed up, it's sucking air into it from inside of the case, which is typically hotter (like a few degrees with excellent airflow.. often 5-10c+ with much hardware and worse airflow)

Why would you want it to suck air from inside the case if you know your case has poor airflow?
