It tickles my curiosity that's all. Sometimes I pay attention to the tiniest, least important details for some reason. :p

Anyway, even if both were DVI-I, how would that be worse? What I think is the reality (only DVI-D) is a subset of functionality of DVI-I. In fact, they do have an upgrade over the older generation: both DVI ports are dual-link DVI now.

They look really nice, I'm waiting for benchmarks, prices and release dates with much impatience. It was written a while ago that they were stock ~1040mhz and like 15db quieter than quiet mode on the reference cooler (which honestly couldn't hold 1000mhz at all reasonably) looking to clock them to 1150, 1200 24/7 on air like the peeps with accelero's etc are doing, depending on noise i guess

On a side note: I've came to the conclusion that 9-blade fans are far superior to 7-blade fans. And that I'm pretty much done being a gamer and thus sell my tower and get a laptop or something. Sad part is I made my tower all pretty inside about 3 weeks ago and I still haven't posted it on craigslist.

Are there pieces of hardware which don't fit together? Like, do certain brands/parts not work with others?

500-800$ What is your monitor's native resolution? I looked this up and I still don't quite know what it means. I don't have a monitor yet, which I'm going to buy later on. I'm planning on probably having something around 22-24", and most likely 1920x1080 since that's pretty much all I'm seeing online. What games do you intend to play on this computer? What settings? Pretty much low intensity stuff, some League at high settings, steam games like Rogue Legacy, etc. What do you intend to use the computer for besides gaming? Good amount of work, studying (still in university). Do you intend to overclock? Nope, when I get more used to computers in general I might think about it, but nothing in the near future. Do you intend to do SLI / Crossfire? Nope, no need to. Do you need an operating system? Nope, already have a free one (I don't know if some builds are incompatible with Windows 7 though). Do you need a monitor or any other peripherals and is this part of your budget? I'll handle the monitor/keyboard/mouse stuff on my own. If you have any requirements or brand preferences, please specify. Intel for the processor would be preferred, and the cases brands mentioned in the OP all seem good. Mid-tower, vertical as well. What country will you be buying your parts in? Canada. If you have any retailer preferences, please specify. None (still noob).
