Even if it costs 1.5x as much, 4670k is a significant upgrade in every way, while FX if your workload isn't highly threaded is a questionable choice.
Depends what the poster wants, and how open ended budget or waiting for more cash is etc

When we have it; It's unknown how much worse stream quality will be vs CPU encoding, but it won't be more efficient. Biggest problem though is just game performance. From what i hear it's really bad and CPU limited in some cases, even with a better CPU and even without any performance hit from recording/streaming game

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127750 but the price went back up, and i realized that a GTX 770 is only about $30 more. Can someone recommend me a good gtx 770 ? or should i still stick with that gtx 760?

but i dont know anything about it. is it a decent card? (like no known major issues, quiet, etc etc). also, what if i dont plan on overclocking the GPU? is the lighting still recommended? EDIT: and my PSU is a rosewill capstone 550w and it says the recommended PSU for the lighting gtx 770 is a 600w. does this matter?

also, what if i dont plan on overclocking the GPU? That's silly, considering how easy it is to do and the fact that you can get very large performance gains on some GPU's. Yea, i'd still take lightning (or windforce) but the lightning one has the capability i believe to unlock voltage if you wanted to do that along the line, or somebody else wanted to. I thought the fan noise might be better with 2x bigger fans (though not sure) and price was close so why not EDIT: and my PSU is a rosewill capstone 550w and it says the recommended PSU for the lighting gtx 770 is a 600w. does this matter? They consume like 180w peak at stock.. reccomended psu is for the people with "600w" psu's that set on fire if they deliver more than 250w on 12v rail. Capstone isn't one of them

Capstone isn't one of them I would overclock, but i dont want to start experimenting for the first time with new / higher end components. also, I dont know what terms like "unlock voltage" and stuff like that means, so I'm afraid that i might just mess up m components. (maybe i will overclock later on down the road on my second rig, or on this rig later on if i feel comfortable) and I think i will go with the lighting then (over windforce since llighting has higher core speed) thank you for the help

I would overclock, but i dont want to start experimenting for the first time with new / higher end components. Stock speed is pretty arbitrary. If we look at 770's for example, they all run at 1.2v. They have a button in-OS that puts them to 1.212v - it's so close to 1.2v that it's practically the same, but it can get you another 13mhz. Many of the cards can break 1300mhz, but they're underclocked by varying amounts so that they all have the same stock specifications. By adding a positive offset on core clock, you're just removing that underclocking, and running the GPU at whatever frequency it can hold no problem on the voltage it already has.

Personally, I'd rather buy a new monitor and scale down parts of the system for 31000 php total cost, but the build as it is (don't get a GT 420, no matter what you do) works. What else are you using the computer for other than gaming?

The AMD website always exaggerates a lot. This is AMD trying to be safe because a lot of PSU brands are not honest about what the PSU can really do. You can see this if you look at what the PSU can do for 12V alone. The 12V are what's used by most parts of the PC, including the CPU and GPU. If you look at the PSU specifications and multiply the 12V with the Ampere it can do, you get the Watts. If this is close to the Watts the PSU is sold as, the marketing is honest and that's often a sign that it is not bad. Here's a review of 280X cards and what the guys doing the review saw their PC pulling from the wall: http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphics-Cards/AMD-Radeon-R9-280X-Roundup-ASUS-MSI-and-Sapphire/Power-Temperature-and-Noise That's at the wall. The PSU is not 100% efficient in transforming the power to 12V, so the parts inside the PC actually used less than those 400W. If the PSU is 85% efficient for example, it's 400W * 85% = 340W. A 450W PSU would be enough.

For reference, the GT 420 has 48 Fermi CUDA cores. The mainstream performance GTX 460 from that generation (HD 7770 is similar these days) has 336 compared to 480 for the GTX 480. What else are you using the computer for other than gaming? Ill only be using it for gaming. I decided to change it up a bit and remove the ups as power outages are pretty much non-existent here, and just get a decent avr. Would a hd7730 or hd7750 be enough for my build?

The integrated graphics is enough for those games and resolutions. I'd just buy a graphics card whenever you get a new game that can't be run smoothly or if you get a new monitor. In a year there could be a new generation of graphics cards available. Or, as I mentioned, cut down places and include a new monitor in the purchase. An i5 and some of the parts aren't really doing you too much for those games. An i5 makes sense if you're playing new games later and keeping this build a long time though.

Resolution I want is 1920-1080 so that gonna be standard across the board. The response times all seem to hover around 6ms so I guess that normal too. What confuses me is when they put these stats in: 200 cd/m2 ACM 100,000,000:1 (600:1) and then another with similar ones is different 250 cd/m2 ACM 100,000,000:1 (1000:1) I guess this +50 cd/m2 adds 400:1 ? also green day says on newegg...like it s B friday rehash..might get some good deals
