Then it's no different than buying from a user. Just check for dead pixels and that the bleed and glow are acceptable to you.

Booted up..so quite...has some plastic smell..but def no burning..yet.
Installing windows atm.
Feels good

Speaking of melting things...
I once booted up a machine after incorrectly hooking up a power cable to a floppy drive (awkward angle, couldn't see, ended up connecting the pins off by one, so that one male pin was unused and 1 female was hanging off the side).
Now THAT'S a smell. Burned/melted off all of the rubber from that connector up to the next juncture.

That got me to check the computer...apparently I forgot to remove 2 plastoc caps on my gcard.
|
How did you actually fit the gcard into the slot without removing the plastic cap...?

Now it's just the wiring mess that I have to clean up. Do wire/cable ties or zipties have problems being in the case around the heatsink or memory?
Just don't let it get caught in the fan other than that good cable management is easy with the new cases nowadays.

I dunno :0 doesn't look too bad
Thank you, Cyro, for your help. I'll go on with the plan. You're the best!

The bluing process appears to be secretive, in keeping with the murky shadows hiding the lords of TeamLiquid. But he's been very helpful, so it's a bluing deserved.
Now, a question - best use for my old 120GB Kingston HyperX SSD?

Put in laptop or use it as a Steam / game drive.

The day i got blue i crawled out of bed and squinted at screen first thing in a morning and was like "..wtf"
Getting off topic - but i still think there should be at least a pm and notification the blue'd people if not some kind of announcement too :D (like tl+ which pm's you and adds you to a list on the recent tl+ thread)

The blue is actually a sign that your monitor's health is failing. You should RMA it ASAP.
