Buying/building a gaming PC in Korea~
Hey guys does anyone have any experience in buying or building a gaming PC in Korea? I've built two gaming PCs in the past but Newegg does not ship international. It really is too bad because I don't think anyone beats Newegg and computers are not exactly cheap here. However, looking online there seems to be a lot of PCs geared towards gamers.
Could you guys help me out? I am not sure where is the best place to buy a PC and/or which PC would be the best bang for the buck.
I am looking to play Path of Exile, HotS, Rome Total War 2, GW2, and will want to stream. I don't need any peripherals. My monitor will be 1920x1080.
If it is too expensive, then I would just like a computer that maxes out on HotS and Path of Exile, and no streaming.
Does anyone know where I can get a good deal on a pre-built computer in Korea? Also, I would want the best possible CPU over other parts. CPU first, then GPU.
Please help because I have been playing Path of Exile at the PC rooms here but once you log out you have to reinstall everything. Hehe.
My price range is about $700. So about 800,000 won. But I am hoping/dreaming for something that is like $500 or less.
A famous Korean site for buying stuff (Korea's Amazon.com) is auction.co.kr. But not sure which PC is the best fit for me and I am not poor at searching in Korean.
Thank you kindly!

you want a gaming computer for less than 700? im not a computer expert but id say youre pushing it lol. i actually bought a pre-made computer a month ago at hi-mart. 1200$ for an i5 cpu, 8gb ram, nvidia 6xx (forgot exact one) and 500gb space. seeing as how id never think of making my own computer since i dont know how, i thought it was a pretty good deal and just got it. came with a nice lg 24" monitor too + keyboard and mouse (though i dont use them).

Yongsan Electronics Market is definitely the place to go if you want cheap computer parts (I assume you live in Seoul). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yongsan_Electronics_Market
Yongsan can however be a bit confusing and if you don't speak Korean it's possible that you will get ripped off. So bring a Korean friend.
A more convenient solution is online shopping, since most stores in Yongsan also have online shops.
Use this meta site to compare prices and purchase online: http://www.danawa.com/
You'll generally get better deals on danawa than on auction.co.kr or gmarket for computer parts
If you don't speak Korean or have no online banking in Korea, you'll need some help though.
Btw, your budget is not very high for what you want, might be hard.

Why would you get old technology when you can get better performance with the same price?
