[H] Playing games on secondary monitor.

ShiroNeko Australia20 Posts September 07 2012 01:31 GMT #1 I have a dual monitor setup. My primary is a 24" 16 Monitor while my secondary is a 18" 4:3 Monitor. Some games that I have such as Brood War, Touhou, Japanese Visual Novels, play better on the 4:3 monitor due to its Aspect ratio. Is there some way of playing these games on the secondary monitor while still using the primary monitor?

skyR Canada13817 Posts September 07 2012 01:36 GMT #2 Windowed mode, move to secondary. Or you can use a display management software like DisplayFusion Pro.

Steelo_Rivers United States1968 Posts September 07 2012 01:37 GMT #3 Whenever you go to play bw or something similar with 4:3, go to your desktop and right click, go to screen resolution and change the 4:3 monitor to your main monitor (should be a checkbox). When you want to switch back, just make your 16 monitor your main screen.

bz0r United States5 Posts September 07 2012 05:00 GMT #4 Or you can easily set your monitor to fix aspect ratio, that way when you play games in a 4:3 resolution it will retain the square shape despite the 16:10 shape on your monitor. It basically just increases size until it hits the top/bottom of your monitor and you have black strips on the side. Much more robust and easier than anything else suggested here.
