buying an air compressor will be cheaper than buying can after can after can.

Im not sure how strong it should be.
how much capacity (l/m) and how much max pressure (bar) should be fine ?

im thinking in getting this: (sorry its in swedish, just look at the details and numbers)
http://www.clasohlson.com/se/Minikompressor-Cotech/Pr309533000
or this
http://biltema.se/sv/Verktyg/Tryckluft/Kompressor/Kompressor-15195/
or this:
http://www.clasohlson.com/se/Kompressor-Cotech-24/Pr408310000

will buy a filter too to be safe from condensation.

anyone using one of this ?

Generally i would advice being very careful using a compressor to clean your pc I would go for the one with the lowest pressure just to be safe.

You must be getting ripped off on compressed cans of air for you to justify that cost of air compressors (which seem to go around $100 from your links).

I use a compressor all the time to blow out electronic components. Just make sure to hold the fan/s in place so they don't over rotate and mess the motor up. If you blow out your electronic components a couple times a month 2 cans is like $8-10 so it will pay for itself over a couple years. And they usually last a long time. Ive had my compressor for about 8 years now.

I don't know how often you have to clear the dust off your PC, but if the cans are really too expensive, I'm guessing you clean way too much. You should invest in dust filters instead of a compressor. I clean mine (interior) less than once a year so a can lasts me a long time. I still have the 2nd can I got 3-4 years ago.

You will clean the filters more often (every 3-4 months), but you clean them with your hands or with water.

here the compressed cans cost almost 10 eu and i read that i must be really carefull when using cans (not to shake it, condensation , etc etc) I just need to find a not soo expensive compressor. Those are the only one that seems okey.
Maybe this one:
http://www.conrad.se/KOMPRESSOR-12-V/18-BAR.htm?websale7=conrad-swe&pi=841392&Ctx={ver/7/ver}{st/3ec/st}{cmd/0/cmd}{m/websale/m}{s/conrad-swe/s}{l/01-aa/l}{sf/<s1>kommpressor</s1>/sf}{p1/537ee34b8df1cf917008c84e5982768a/p1}{md5/d8cfca956ee9274a09864c1c7764e505/md5}

will be better (but the precie cant be right its says its chepear than a can...)

any advice ?

would be careful using an air compressor to clean your computer as they can contaminate with oil/water
oil is used to lubricate the compressor pistons and crank and water is present in the air and condenses in the
tank filters are an option but a good one costs,
im still a noob

I use a 4hp compressor to clean my comp... it also powers my rattlegun for automotive work : D

makes everything really easy and NO, it does NOT risk damaging the components of a computer.. unless you do something totally retarded ; )

either you're letting your pets use your desktop as some sort of toy, you're overly anal about cleaning it, or you're getting ripped off on your air. just go on ebay and buy a job lot of cans.

You can also buy a cheap air filter from the hardware store and cover all the holes in your computer with it to keep the amount of dustings you need to do down. Your temperatures will rise though.

Something like this ( http://www.amazon.com/Metro-Vacuum-ED500-500-Watt-Electric/dp/B001J4ZOAW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1344835951&sr=8-4&keywords=canned air ) seems a little less over the top.
Photoshop is over-powered.

I got confused by the term Vacuum. But I guess it blows air too, or the Metro Vacuum is just a brand name I dunno.

Mate, go down to your local hardware or gardening store and buy one of those hand pump up sprayers. Not too much pressure and cheap.

Its hard to hold a video card in your hand and pump one of those at the same time.

EDIT: Unless you are talking about one of those devices where you charge up the pressure like a super soaker. Those are good.

The Metro DataVac has been touted by many as one of the best air cleaning/compressor devices that can be used to clean on your PC.
