Not if you can still see stuff on your monitor amongst those colorful lines all over the screen and those big black dots scattered around your screen. If those things don't bother you, there is no need to buy another monitor. However, if you think that you want to be able to see something again on your screen, i strongly suggest you buy another Flatscreen. They cost around 130 euro right now so that should be doable. In the future you might ban any fluids from the vicinity of your electronic equippment. Yours sincerely, pqzeus

Your monitor is most likely going to need a replacement though. I'm curious as to how you accomplished the feat of spilling water onto it though.

Your monitor is most likely going to need a replacement though. I'm curious as to how you accomplished the feat of spilling water onto it though. This is embarassing but i was raging really hard losing in starcraft and i banged my computer desk three times pretty hard. I swear people outside would think they were gunshots. Anyways I forgot I had a cup of water which was almost empty and it got knocked over. I didn't even think about cleaning it because it was just some water on the screen and not that much so I just turned off my comptur and went outside. I guess I'm gonna have to learn my lesson the hard way if I have to buy another monitor.

Obviously they bother him.... OP since it's already been a few days, I suspect you ruined the LCD panel. But Amui's suggestion might be worth trying, let it sit for a good long time and completely dry out.
