Their custom keycaps make me want to go bankrupt

I know, im trying to restrain myself untill new colours come out next year.

But then this appears.

Ha. Yeah, I am playing with it now, trying a few things out. I am just attempting to create some cool images just out of keycap color. I have been playing on and off with the customizer for a few weeks now and still don't have something solid. I looked at the FB page and a bunch of stuff on their site and it is just all so friggin awesome.

This might be a unique question:

I'm studying Korean pretty intimately and plan on being able to type korean online, possibly even translate articles in the future; however, I need a solution that allows me to have both english and korean characters on my keyboard. At the very minimum, just korean characters. Another request is that it be on a MECHANICAL keyboard. Are there any mechanical keyboard layouts or sites I can be referred to to possibly import one?

I would suggest you either call WASD keyboards and see if you can get a customization which could potentially be expensive but definitely possible, or try to get yourself imports from Leopold in korea. Personally, I am not sure how far your luck would go with the leopold one. Last resort, I would try calling Brian from EK, and see if he can add a Korean fonted leopold on the next shipment or something.

Anyone from Finland has one mechanical keyboard? It feels a lot more than I expected to get a pretty standard mechanical keyboard with brown switches.

156€ included posting and taxing.
I'm talking about this keyboard btw: http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard_details.asp?PRODUCT=753

Get it from silentrig, you will get the same keyboard about 20€ cheaper.

don't know if I posted already in this thread, but I use and highly recommend the Das Professional Keyboard with either blues or browns (I have the blues). Great build quality and there is a discount for students. Also aside from gaming, the keyboard is great for typing on for schoolwork and projects.

I don't know how set you are on it but personally, I just printed a sheet from the internet that has the Korean keyboard layout and just practiced with it (alot of trial and error too), until I just memorized where all the Korean characters are. Alot cheaper, but again it depends on how important having characters on your keycaps matters to you.

Stickers to paste on your _nice_ mechanical keyboard keys could work too... But those... are stickers...

I have a question to all you mechanic keyboard users. I recently bought a Steelseries 6gv2 and just now my spacebar has started to squeak a bit when it's pressed. I've removed the button and pinpointed the sound to come from the left "switch" (there's a major switch in the middle and two small semi-switches on the sides), as it's squeaking when the button goes up and down. I'm not sure how to correct it, when I move it manually it doesn't sound anything, it's just when I have the actual button on that it's making noise. I've looked inside the holes in the button for something that it might rub itself on (it's that kind of a sound) but the button is identical all over. Any ideas what is causing it and a potential fix?

Has anyone actually been able to try out the Corsair Vengeance K60 (or K90)? Seems like google only finds the news about the board but no real experience from anyone.

Greasing it should help

Dunno, as pointed out, lubing it could help. Google 'greasing cherry corp stabilisers' or something like that.

Greasing, that problem was also documented on Leopolds (mine included) and after a shitton more use it just went away, for some people at least.

As the others have said, greasing it will fix it. If you check elitekeyboards, they have a specified lube that they just started selling which fixes that problem. Obviously, it doesn't have to be that specific one, but if you check on geekhack.org and look @ ripsters sig, it has a giant wiki on all that stuff where you can fix it. Or just google. But grease should do the trick. I mean, i've also heard it just goes away if you forget about it and keep typing, but I dunno if that was a joke or not. Dont worry too much about it though, its easy to fix.

Just a quick question, are there any keycaps like the ones on the Filco Ninja's (printed on the side) that are white? I've seen blank ones all over - so I'm just wondering.

HERE you go!!

not that cheap, but only place you can get em and they are PBT. I have the white engraved and they are nice.

Are you a Diamond+ player with 150 + APM and Type at 85+wpm that has experience with several mechanical keyboard switches? I'm looking for your opinion.

I'm Zerg and fit the above category. I'm looking to get a keyboard that will complement my style of play.

This will be my first mech keyboard and my experience has been limited. I have done a lot of due diligence on my part by doing plenty of research online, but what it really comes down for me is SC2.

So which switch do you prefer?

Here's what I have so far add to what you think may or may not be misconceptions.

Blue switches; are great, and actually preferred by some players. the sound and response can trigger adrenaline like responses. I liked the Blackwidow response, but that is the only switch that I've tried. Not sure if it feels the same throughout every brand.

Browns: Also great for those who wear earphones anyways and can't hear the click on the blues, while still providing the tactile response that can trigger a similar response as the blues. so far i've read that the down fall of browns are that the tactile response isn't as pronouced as in the Blues.

Clears: Because not that many people have these we do not hear too much about it. The only thing I've heard is that they are what browns should have been, or some say the clears are way too stiff to be typing on. Now that I clears are availabe to me I may also consider this switch.

Reds: The lightest and more linear of the bunch has also been a topic that hasn't been widely discussed. I've also heard two sides on this one. Some say it is a god sent for SC2, and some say they are just way too light to be accurate.

Also the brands that I have to choose from:

Filco, Leopold, Noppoo Choc Mini, KBC Poker

The Filco only comes in blue/brown
and Leo is the only one with the clears.

Which would you get if you were me?

If you don't mind the stiffness the clears have the best tactility IMO since the blues the tactility comes later in the key travel.

For me I took the best (again imo) of both worlds, I made ergo clears which are blue springs(brown or red have same springs) and clear stems. Feels awesome!!

I'd like to point out that Unicomp sent me a free key cap for my SpaceSaver since I lost one while cleaning it. Great customer service, and I think an underrepresented mechanical keyboard manufacturer! Aside from buckling springs I've also tried Cherry MX blues and White Alps. They're all great, but I do like the buckling springs for how hard the bump is and I also like the volume. Great for typing and gaming!

I just got my leopold with reds. Very different from my previous wireless, ergonomic keyboard.
This is my first mechanical keyboard and I've gotta say that I've been missing out. I can type almost twice as fast it seems and I know it will improve my gameplay once I get used to this non ergonomic setup.
Thanks everyone who help me in deciding which keyboard to get
