Otherwise, yeah you can't really go wrong with a QFR for it's quality and price point.

I want to buy a keyboard for my wife. She plays CSGO a lot and from what i've read, black switches are better for FPS. I'm looking for a keyboard with no macro keys (or their can be some but not on the far left of the keyboard which i and she find confusing). I'm also looking for a keyboard with the thing that protect wrist (sorry i don't know how to say in english). The thing that is at the bottom of this keyboard : http://www.techpowerup.com/img/13-10-15/CM_Storm_Trigger-Z_01.jpg This keyboard is also an exemple of what i don't want from macro keys. (i have a friend with this keyboard. each time i try it i press "M5" when i want to press control. That's why i don't want macro keys on the left) I have no price limit, no favorite brands (but all people i know that bought razer keyboard had problems after one year so i'm not too found of them). but the keyboard have to be azerty. What would yourr advice be ? EDIT : i have a Zowie celeritas and she doesn't like it because she find it a little too "heighty"

protect wrist (sorry i don't know how to say in english) Wrist rest ![]() From what I know, the zowie celeritas has standard height keycaps (correct me if I'm wrong) so then you should probably look for a keyboard with medium or low profile keycaps or you can buy a keyboard and keycaps and switch the keyboard's keycaps. Most (good) gaming keyboards have macro keys (which I personally don't like either). If price isn't a problem then I would recommend a Filco Majestouch 2, a WASD keyboard, or maybe a Leopold keyboard. I don't know if these keyboards are available in France or have azerty layouts available but Filco at least seems very well known. (none of these have a wrist rest as most keyboards that come with wrist rests have macro keys) Edit: black switches become harder to press as you push down on them so some people say it's not good for long gaming sessions because it makes their hands tired but because it becomes harder to press, it's good for double pressing keys.

So red would be better for fps ? As for trying... i never saw a store in France with a Mechanical keyboard that you can try (hell i don't think i ever saw a non razer mechanical keyboard in a store). And i have no friends that plays computer. For my friends a mechanical keyboard is a : "Wtf are you crazy to spend 100€ on a keyboard". I don't know leopold keyboard. I'll take a look. I really can't decide black or red switch. My wife had a GT70 with a steelseries keyboard and it was quite hard to type on it. So maybe stay with black ? Or do i go red... This is always complicated ![]()

Some people like blue but it's not as good of a bet (it has a few downsides like clicky noise on actuation, the switch design being awkward for re-actuating after releasing it etc), and blacks are just heavy reds I think i'll go black since my wife apparently find that brown repeats too much when she strafe. Any model you would recommand ? Just to see if you go with the same choices than the others.

![]() The bump starts at ~1.2mm, when you get over it the switch quickly actuates (2mm) and then it bottoms out at 4mm. I had no problems with accidentally releasing it at all this is red ![]() the actuation point is much less obvious and it requires about 80% of the force of mx brown to actuate

So Filco is a no go because RED+AZERTY + not 350€ (wtf ?) isn't available for France. Leopold is a no go since it's not available easily too. What about Qpad ? Is that good ? Like the MK50 ? I saw corsair Vengeance too but it may be a little too high.

Tried a few boards over the past 3-4 months and this one seems to hit all the nice spots. Only minor niggle is the back lighting always seems to toggle itself off. Not really an issue.. Simple enough to re-enable it. Just a niggley little quirk I guess. Not that this matters.. But watching IEM Taipei, I noticed that Life uses one of the qpad boards - the lights for caps lock / num lock / scroll lock are very distinctively shaped, spotted them after one of his matches. So it can't be that bad a board! Moral of the story get a qpad, and play starcraft like the beast that is Life!!!
